Repeat visit, floated the lower section of the upper Madison River. Our guide (Charlie Gordon) provided the standard of excellence we've come to expect from Kelly Galloup's operations. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, conversational, and fun to fish with. Along the way, we caught enough fish to lose count, and big enough to take a photo or two (which we don't...

We stayed in cabin #8 and our friends in the duplex #2. Our cabin was very big with 2 queen beds, kitchen, bath. Facility was very clean. Nothing fancy about this place which is what we absolutely loved about it. It's where you go to fly fish or use as a base to explore Yellowstone. Owner lives very close bye...

Have stayed here several times. Rooms are clean and comfortable and spiffed up daily. Owner is helpful and is a unique character. His dogs are nice. Most importantly, the river is in the backyard. River fishes best in the evening. Complete fly shop on location. Has always been quiet.

Although I live in New Hampshire I'm fortunate enough to visit Montana a few times a year on fly fishing trips. And every trip begins with a stop at The Slide Inn for the best advice in the business. Whether it's John, Jeremy, or Kelly himself, they are very willing to share with you what you need to catch trout...

Kelley and his crew of guides will put you on the fish with as much hands on guidance as you want or need. Fully stocked shop on site. The attitude is relaxed but completely professional. The accommodations are comfortable and spotless. A+ operation!

You're right there; just a few steps off the back porch and you're in to the fish! We had both beginners and seasoned anglers and everyone had a wonderful time. Any answers, guidance, or help of any kind can be found at the very professional fly-shop and store a few paces away. Here's what and where it's all about and...

The Slide Inn is a few frills rustic fishing lodge owned by world renowned innovative fly fishing guide, Kelly Galloup. The lodge sits on the banks of the Madison River just below Quake Lake. The rooms are in a log building and ours (#7) had a kitchenette. Quiet is the name of the game--as is fishing so expect to hear...

This is a great place to stay right on the Madison River. Kelly was in the Fly shop and offered a great time talking fishing. I would recommend his fly shop to anyone and stay here again. Be prepared to throw sticks for his dog.

Spectacular setting (20 feet from the Madison River!), the clean and comfortable cabins may be your base, but the river, the fish, the guides, and the owner/operator (streamer-fishing guru, Kelly Galloup) are the reasons to come, and to come back! A first-class guided fishing operation on legendary waters, with Kelly's gift for storytelling for entertainment...it just doesn't get much better...

Stayed a couple nights, room was clean with nice amenities. For a fishing destination it was a pleasant surprise. Also great fly shop on premises with guide service and primo knowledge about the Madison.
