When I was a little girl, my favorite place to go was Aunt Sally's and Uncle Johnnie's cabin in the Poconos! Garrison's River Resort, is just like that! It is all so perfect: the food, the hospitality, the various activities, even the clean rest rooms are a welcome surprise! Miss Mary Jane, proprietor, puts her heart and soul into this...

Unfortunately our trip didn't start well due to the weather, torrential rains and flooding. Attempting to find our campsite in the dark and rain was not easy. They could probably work on making the numbered posts a little easier to find. The float was a little disappointing due to the weather issue they were only letting people out in rafts...

Great breakfast buffet. If you go away hungry it's your fault. Beautiful view, great store and extraordinary food. Everything from traditional foods, trout, sweets galore. Go for the camping and fishing, stay for the food. Don't forget to take a walk around the beautiful grounds.

My husband and I went with 2 other couples the last weekend of July for my sisters 18th birthday. There was a total of 6 of us. The cabin we stayed in was great and very clean. Only downfall was we waited over an hour past our designated float time for our canoes. We really enjoyed Garrisons and have decided...

We camped at Garrison's on June 12th-14th. The first night was great, although we were the only ones camping ( because it was the middle of the week). The customer service was great when we checked in. Since we were the only campers, they let us pick our own site, which was right by the river entrance. It was great....

Staff very friendly. Rv sites very unlevel. Loud and party oriented. Drinking is the main goal of many campers. Gravel roads make camping dusty. We took a canoe trip and missed the poorly marked takeout. We were not drinking and were paying attention. We called Garrisons and they said it would be ten o'clock pm before they could get us....

Recently stayed at a cabin at Garrison River Resort. The cabin had 4 double beds and was supposed to have a pull out couch, but it was just a regular couch. The A/C worked good, which was good since it was July. Not the best cabins, but decent for what they are. They don't stink and there's no bugs that...

We have been camping there for a few years now, Great people and great place. Buildings are older but kept in good repair. Float is a nice one not alot of dragging your canoe across the shallows. Never used any of the rental units.

We scheduled a weekend outing at Garrisons for our church group. They worked with us to ensure we all got rafts since we had small kids in our group. They were so pleasant every time we called. The lodging was as expected... Rustic, but had everything that was needed. I would definitely go back. We had a good time.

Camped and floated and had a great time. Folks at Garrison's were very friendly and the place was cleaner than most float resorts I've seen. Meramec is more scenic than expected. Store had the necessities and pretty good coffee. Close to Steelville which is convenient. Will be back.
