We visited the Hotel Costamar from Saturday 29/06/19 till 06/07/19 Checking in was quick and the guy doing the checking in was very helpful My Spanish was as good as his English but we managed to get through this process quite easily . He explained that the reception was not 24hr and we had to leave a 5 euro deposit for a pass card to get back in after 11pm The room (201) was as basic a room as i had ever seen there was no kettle ,no cups and very little cutlery The bedding and towels were changed during our stay although we did have to change the bed sheets our selves which was strange The towels were left in the bathroom in a heap The room was not swept during our stay The air on was absolutely superb and was well needed Didn’t watch the TV mainly due to not having a remote control We used the Hotel as a base for our days out and we found quite few excellent bars and restaurants in the local area the best of which was Manolo’s this bar is situated on the Paso The free WiFi is very hit and miss and keeps logging you off so you have to keep logging in which can be a pain

The appartment I was in was clean and tidy could do with a little update but perfectly acceptable, the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There is a bar at the bottom called legends it has nothing to do with the apartment block but very friendly welcoming staff. Would definitely use this place again

For a two star hotel, the rooms are clean and have a TV (Spanish only) and fridge, although the beds are a little uncomfortable and an extra pillow or two wouldn't go amiss. Plenty of variety at breakfast, and lunch for 10€ per person is tasty although I think they do the same every day for lunch. It is a bonus having the beach right on the doorstep which doesn't get too busy. There isn't a swimming pool with the hotel which is misleading on the particulars. There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance, but nothing else to do, which makes it difficult after you have checked out at noon on your last day, and your flight isn't until the evening, to find something to kill a few hours. However, the overriding impression that spoilt things for us as a family was that there were no other English people staying at the hotel or indeed the whole area and the staff weren't very helpful in trying to understand us even though we tried our best with the language. When we smiled at the locals they stared right through us. It was as though we weren't welcome and made us feel very uncomfortable. We have been visiting Spain for years, but unfortunately it will be the last time for us. After a week we had had enough and were ready to go home.

Simple hotel, but right on the sea with a boardwalk. A good walk to the main touristy area (about 1 mile). Bus stop close by for easy access to Malaga or other locations. We held several meetings there - the hotel manager was easy to work with and accommodated us well. Buffets were very good. Various rooms, but all were comfortable and ample since you want to spend most your time outside.

The room.. Very clean and the sheets like brand new.. You got shampoo and soap in the bathroom... The downside.. Nothing on the balcony.. A chair would be good.. No glassware to brush teeth or drink with, no English TV, and the breakfast nothing refrigerates and the coffee was cold.. Oh and he only lighting was down lighters spot lights above the bed!!! The bedside lamps full of dust.. But for €35 a night. A bargain I would personally pay more to have All these issues resolved
