Our cute family cottage was perfect! Clean, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast provisions were plentiful, linen clean & crisp, sparkling bathroom & fluffy towels. Ample fenced off outdoor space to park your car & the kids to kick a ball and explore. Close enough (2mins) to Richmond town and Hobart (25mins). Owner lives nearby onsite and welcomes you to their...

Hana and Ben of Daisy Bank Cottages provide a very comfortable, private retreat, with farm activities, bush to explore, the luxuries of Richmond at hand and two very homey cottages. It is our favourite place to escape the craziness of city life, and from which to explore south-east Tasmania. This was our third stay and we expect to return. Thanks...

Perfect mix of old and modern. Rustic getaway cottage exterior tugging at the heartstrings. Golden timber floors and beams inside with whitewashed stone walls and a warm log fire ... and then glorious fresh new bathroom (jacuzzi time) and bright kitchen area. Hospitable hosts nearby round out the whole experience. A+plus all round.

Love love love this place. Friendly, homely, comfortable and flexible. Great fresh breakfast supplies with adequate facilities to cook up wonderful meals using the amazing local produce! Love the peacefulness of the farm and the opportunity of exploring the paddocks and giving the horses, chooks, baby chicks, dogs or even baby lambs a treat. A warm log fire adds to...

We spent one night here last week before flying out from Hobart at the end of our holiday in Tasmania. Wish we had known about it earlier as it was so lovely we would have stayed longer. It's proximity to Hobart, airport and historic Richmond mean it is the ideal location but it is the accommodation and hospitality that won...

We had the pleasure of staying here for three nights, and it was wonderful. Ben and Hana were wonderful hosts, and the spa cottage was immaculate. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was the little touches which made the difference. We could not recommend staying here highly enough.

We recently had the good fortune of booking a three night stay at this historic property (circa 1830) after a disappointing incident where we had to cancel previously booked accommodation and find replacement pronto. The hostess, Hana, was charming. The cottage, albeit old, was meticulous, clean and smelt fresh. The provisions were ample; fresh eggs from the farm hens, free...

We stayed here last week for two days and found it to be excellent. We stayed in the larger of the two cottages and found it fabulous - very spacious and homely, cosy fire, great breakfast provisions, linen was of a very high standard and the cottage was very private. As we are farmers ourselves we very much appreciated being...

We just finished our trip to Tasmania and loved this place. Lovely people and the accommodation was great and log fire was great . The only issue was that toilet was down stairs. We had fresh eggs and bacon provided daily . Found it a great base to visit Hobart, Port Arthur and Richmond

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Daisy Bank Cottages is located in a beautiful farm setting overlooking the Richmond village in the Coal River Valley. The self-contained cottages are located within a converted sandstone barn that was originally built in 1830. They are beautifully finished and have a lovely warm atmosphere with everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. Each cottage has an upstairs loft bedroom, and a downstairs living area with sweeping views of the farm and the township of Richmond. Beautiful antiques furnish the cottages. We are conveniently located 5 minutes from Richmond, 20 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes from Hobart and we also make the perfect base for exploring the Huon and Derwent Valleys and the Tasman Peninsula.
