Detailed Reviews
Room and bathroom were very mall but clean. Beds and pillows (2) were comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. Room had one useable plug-in, two if we unplugged the lamp. Across the street from Tim Hortons. We’d stay there again. Air conditioning worked well but was noisy for small room.

We ended our trip along the Viking Trail at Hotel North Three in St. Anthony. We were pleased to get into a room which turned out to be largely a throwback to the fifties. The photographs of their newly renovated rooms on their website may well reflect some rooms in the hotel but not ours. We had paneled wall, two beds with polyester bedspreads and a small TV. Don't get me wrong, after a day of cool and rainy travel we were more than happy to be in a safe dry environment with controllable climate and clean bathroom facilities. There are only three hotel/motels in St. Anthony and they all seem to entertain a continuous stream of bus tours along with the noise and high times associated with that. Our walls allowed us to follow precisely the adventures of other travelers as they made there way to their rooms late in the evening. The hotel reception seemed genuinely hospitable and interested in our comfort. They do well with what they have to work with. The location is ideal and they do have an in-house restaurant...Jungle Jim's (a chain which doesn't open for breakfast till 7 a.m.--after they've served breakfast to the tour bus crowd). I don't fault them for making hay during the summer season because the winter season must be somewhat desolate. No views to speak of although they were across the street from a Tim Horton's (good for breakfast if you desire a particularly early departure) and a grocery store for provisions and snacks. Okay given where they are and what they have to work with.

Room Tip: Seemed to cater to bus tours during Summer so all rooms seemed to us pretty much the same.

Right across from Tim Horton's.
Very convenient and the staff were exceptional. Jungle Jim's onsite as it is owned by the same company/owners. Had a few good meals there reasonably priced.
Very clean and quiet.
Would definitely select them again for a return visit.

Very suitable accomodations. You are in rural NL, no luxury hotels, but quite comfortable and clean. Older hotel but owners have done a lot of cosmetic upgrades to bring it up to date such as new flooring, paint and fixtures. Good location across from Subway and Tim Horton's. You don't go to St. Anthony to spend time in your room so Hotel North provides all you need. Jungle Jim's restaurant on site and free contenential breakfast was very convenient. Would not hesitate to return. Very friendly staff. Wifi was good

I stayed at his hotel since I couldn't get a reservation at the other hotel in town. It's a pretty average place even though the rooms have been recently renovated. The renovations look like they were done on the cheap and the finishing isn't very good. The broken elevator didn't help my first impression.
The room was comfortable enough. I was unimpressed by the basket of stuff (junk food) in the room, tempting you to eat it, for a price. I guess this is an attempt at providing a service but I didn't care for it.
The desk in the room didn't have a receptacle near it. How are you supposed to do work on a computer without a receptacle?
The Jungle Jim's restaurant that is in the hotel didn't have very good service. The first night I was there I went in, found a table since there was nobody to seat me, and then sat for over 10 minutes before someone realized I was there. The second night the service was just plain poor and the food wasn't very good or plentiful.

I reserved a room in January and confirmed it before the trip saying we might be arriving around 8pm or 9pm. We arrived at 7 pm and were given room # 101...behind a noisy ice machine!
I asked for another room and was told all the other double rooms were full. It amazes me that we were given a room that should have been given to the last arrival...not to the person who reserved and confirmed months ( 6 months in fact ) in advance.
The room itself was clean and comfortable aside from the constant hum of the ice machine and the sound of ice dropping periodically into the bin.

A clean place with large spacious rooms. It looks like some updating has been going on as the furniture in the rooms seemed quite new. Bathrooms were a little dated but quite clean. Overall, it was a decent no frills kind of place.
We did have some issues with the wifi dropping out each afternoon, but it would come back before we could say anything to anyone.

The rooms are lovely in the hotel, much better than you would expect looking at the outside of the hotel. Also the staff was very helpful, even walking us to our rooms at check-in. The hotel has rooms come with Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges and coffeemakers. Some suites and cabins have fireplaces or kitchens in some suites.
The hotel also has a great restaurant, Jungle Jim's in the motel that had very good food that was unusual, and our waitress, Ocean was one of the best we have ever had!

Traveled to St. Anthony for the first time with my cowokers. The girls at Hotel North were great (shoutout to June for being so friendly and helpful!) Rooms were clean and tidy, everyone was fastastic. A great stay with no issues!

Nice place! The rooms are surprisingly updated and nice, as is the bathroom. Spacious rooms with a mini fridge and a coffee maker. Nice that it's attached to Jungle Jims too. Free continental breakfast! Would recommend!

The hotel is about 30 min drive from L'Anse Aux Meadows. I dont know the price of the rooms for this time of the year. We went in June with a travel group. Check their website or directly with the hotel. Enjoy.
