Stayed here on a business trip for 3 nights. Room was comfy, clean bedding and comfortable bed. Floors needed attention dust balls and lint, and found someone's contact lens stuck to the side of the skink, so that lets me know the house cleaners need to do a better job. Checking in was a little confusing, there is no "office"... More

I stayed three nights at the Inn to be close to the center of Clayton. The public areas of the Inn are very classy - breakfast (included) was wonderful. My room needed some TLC. But I would recommend friends to stay in the Inn but to choose a room upstairs.

We stayed here during a college visit. The place from the outside looks very tacky, but the rooms are large, clean, quiet and well appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful and the location is convenient to the Light Rail system and the downtown restaurants. My daughter goes to Wash U and this will be our first choice. I wish... More

Seven Gables could be a great hotel, but it has not been kept up. Our room had a funny smell, the carpet was old and very stained, and the common areas were cold and drafty. The furnishings were nice and with a little investment, I think this could be a great hotel. Parking cost $17, so when all was said... More

We loved the bed and breakfast feel of this quant building surrounded by skyscrapers. Also, nice courtyard and nice bar downstairs. We enjoyed our stayed: bed was comfortable, the room was big and nicely decorated, and breakfast was good. I'm giving it 4 starts because I saw a lot of dust balls on corners that are hard to get to... More

I thought this would be a cute, quaint place within walking distance to work. It was dirty and cold. There were dead bugs in the shower. The floor in the room looked like it was never cleaned with huge dust balls. The toilet ran nonstop. The heater didn't work. I asked someone at the front desk to address it but... More

I recently stayed at the Seven Gables Inn in the Clayton area of St Louis. It was close to my home offce and suggested to me by my management. It is definitely unique to the neighborhood . It is a smallish building built in the 1920's amongst the commercial office buildings. It definitely has a bed and breakfast feel. The... More

I had business in Clayton and decided to break the routine and stay in this unique hotel instead of a chain. I am glad I did. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than adequate. It located within easy walking distance of any business in Clayton. The staff were very helpful. The only downside... More

This Inn is very charming. The courtyard is private and inviting. The staff were very attentive, from the front desk to the valet. Our room was directly above the restaurant below which worried me at first but after happy hour it quieted down & the noise was minimal.

I stayed for four night on business. This hotel is very tired and dated. The carpets are dreadful and, although it didn't appear to be unclean, it does feel like it. The bar closes very early and the breakfast is limited and poor quality. The staff were friendly enough and helpful though.
