This is a lovely old hotel (from the 1920s, I think), which has been restored beautifully. Our room was comfortable (although not huge). The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's well located, downtown and near to MSU.

It was a nice clean hotel. Slept much better 2nd night because we got the light out outside our French doors. Breakfast is excellent. Staff very nice and accommodating. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Chester! The rooms were excellent and the manager and all the staff were so friendly and helpful! They took care of all of our room needs and helped us out with a situation that occurred in Starkville. We definitely plan on coming back the next time we're here!

Our favorite place to stay in Starkville. The restaurant provides great food, the bar with inside and outside seating is a hidden gem! Tess is a great bartender, whom we always enjoy chatting with. As an added bonus, you can select from a menu of delicious breaks fast items which are covered in your stay!

I only attended a wedding dinner rehearsal here but I had the opportunity to walk around and see all of the public areas of this hotel. What a beautiful place! And the staff is super friendly, too! I'd host an event here in a heartbeat! Very pretty and romantic!

The hotel is in downtown Starkville and is a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rates are very reasonable. I had a queen suite, plenty of room and was quite comfortable. Free wifi is available. The hotel offers complimentary cook to order breakfast, as well as muffins, etc. The beer garden offers a...

My wife and stayed there this past weekend and loved to charm, location, and service. We will book there for home games from this point on. The location is close to Starkville cafe, and we walked to the Cotton district, only minutes from campus. The beer garden was cool also.

I love older well kept hotels. For a small Mississippi town The Chester Hotel is wonderful. While an old hotel, it has been kept up well while holding its historic charm. If one ever needs to be in Starkville, it is your best place to stay and a very good value. I recommend as strongly as possible.
