It's the perfect little hotel located in the heart of Starkville just off Main Street. Definitely a good change from the chain hotels that started with a fun front desk staff on check, followed by clean and cozy room, and cooked-to-order breakfast. Great little get away while seeing the kids at MSU.

We had a wonderful time this past weekend at Hotel Chester. Being a boutique hotel with a history, it has lots of character. Great customer service, too. Complimentary breakfast being made to order was nice touch. We just didn't stay long enough to really have time to enjoy the downtown area with all of the athletic events on campus during...

Great location downtown. Beautiful, historic building. I was able to park on street by front door but I expect that's the exception and not the rule. The room was small (queen) but it was clean and quiet. It faced inside and not much of a view. Bed is very comfortable. Definitely stay here again.

This hotel is just amazing, quitly and with so much caring by the staff I meet Dave and he is very much kind and servicial. I stayed in the Gordon Ramsay suit and it was fantastic and also with Ethernet port to connect my laptop directly to Internet. The Garden Beer was just awesome, very fun, relax and the beer...

Dave, Morgan and Emma were all so accommodating and made my stay at this very nice and reasonable hotel in downtown Starkville a delightful experience (and I am an Ole Miss Rebel!). I didn't meet Taylor, but she took my reservation over the phone and was very professional and pleasant. Love the location, too! Breakfast was 5 star!!! I will...

First, this review is based on my daughter's experience and my phone interactions with the hotel owner and staff. My daughter was in Starkville for a job interview. Her flight from Atlanta to Starkville was canceled due to weather. Thus, she chose to rent a car and make the 5 hour drive. She arrived around 1 o'clock am without her...

Hotel Chester is a great, local hotel that is close to everything in the Main Street area. Walking distance to many locally owned stores, restaurants, and bars. The hotel staff are always very friendly and accomodating.

Stayed here as a guest of a department at Miss State. Very nice old hotel. If you like comfortable older properties this will be right up your alley. My room was big and clean. The hotel itself was very quiet--the MSU students outside after a few brewskis could have been quieter, but such is a college town. Clerk patient, friendly,...

My husband and I, as well as lots of other friends, recently stayed at Hotel Chester for a wedding and the customer service was AWFUL. The check in staff was unwelcoming and borderline rude. In the dining room area, the woman who serves you breakfast was SO RUDE to us BOTH mornings. She has an attitude, very unfriendly and made...

I have stayed at Hotel Chester at least once a year for several years now, and I am consistently impressed. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, and you cannot beat the location on Main Street. It is older so you will be disappointed if you are expecting new décor and furnishings, but I welcome the historic feel and...
