We stayed there for a night after a long walk. Although the apartment/unit we had was very clean, well maintained and everything worked fine, it was obvious that refurbishment is needed. The kitchen was simply said old. When turning on/off the lights, since they were all connected in series, bathroom, living room & bedrooms were either all on or all...

Unbelievably beautiful location. I've stayed here twice now and will be going back again whenever possible. I've had one of the rooms which are like large studios to the right of the hotel/motel. There are also rooms in a main building. Has a great little shop onsite which is just as well as it's a long way back to Havelock...

A perfect place to relax. Iconic kiwi experience with fabulous view. Eclectic decor in old style lodge. Cook your own or catch the sea taxi across the bay for restaurant food. Kayak at your door step. Delicious coffee made by owners. Would have loved a later check out. 10am is too early.
