I had read the reviews before I went to Northern Lights, so I was expecting to run into rude people, no towels at the pool and an overall attitude of not caring. What I got was anything but the above. Cheryl in the Dancing Fire Restaurant was so attentive no matter how full the restaurant was. The second day my... More

My family and I come to the Walker area yearly but this was the first time staying at this hotel and casino. We ended up booking a 2 night stay and only stayed the one after a night of being eaten alive! My husband and I woke up to bites all over our bodies and found bed bugs in our... More

We came here on a casino bus tour. The hotel lobby was very clean and has a very nice aboriginal theme. The elevators, hallways, and rooms need to be upgraded. New carpets, new blankets, updated telephones and the addition of fridges and microwaves would be a definite improvement. The casino has many older slot machines with some new machines being... While booking our concert tickets we found out that the hotel was booked. We were told that we could stay in town and the casino' shuttle service would take us back and forth. No one at the casino knows anything about the service-we were given a phone number to call and when we called were told that the shuttle would... More

We came here to visit the slots and buffet. From the outset, it appeared that none of the employees are happy - polite, but unsmiling, businesslike. Older machines, not too clean, and everyone complaining about the low payouts. We visited on senior's day so the buffet was $8 but was barely worth it. Small salad bar, very small dessert area,... This is our sixth annual trip to Walker Minnesota (two couples). This was not a good hotel experience. For starters, the elevator floors were filthy. I'm sure they used to vacuum the elevators weekly and steam clean once a month. Our guess is neither had been done for several months. On our second day, we went to our rooms around... More

We've stayed at Northern lights before for moondance jam week but this has got to be one of the worst visits we've ever had. Our check in was fine; it went smoothly and the concierge was nice. Unfortunately, we had booked our room a little late so we were stuck in a smoking room; we didn't think it would be... More

Options are limited in and near Walker, but don't stay at Northern Lights if you can help it. The rooms are dingy and in need of an update. During our recent stay we saw dirt in corners, wallpaper splattered in places, mildew at the top of the shower and the wall covering was peeling away. Our room just had an... More

Husband and I decided to check this casino out on our way home to Fargo after a business trip. Upon arrival we went to the player's club to get a player's card and asked how many $$ to get one point as we see that there is a promotion going on( 25 pts to swipe for slot cash). The staff... More

We came through the Walker area and had not planned for our overnight stay. The advisor at the Fargo Visitor's center recommended the hotel and casino. We called and they offered a $60 double room with a $30 credit per person for food and gambling. We had the buffet with part of the credit and then played the balance at... More
