Excellent campground since it is small and comfortable. The toilette and shower room are kept very clean and there is plenty of hot water when taking a shower. Make sure to understand how the coin operated shower works first before taking your shower, though. Two quarters should give you plenty of time if you're a guy. According to my wife,...

Accommodation:We stayed in a cabin. Each cabin has two beds with sheets and blankets. No running water. Nice site picnic and fire areas. Grounds: it's not perfect but worked For my family. Wasn't dirty. Overall: it's an old small private resort. If you're up there to enjoy the area this place works well.

Not knowing what to expect our expectations were minimal. When we got to Lax Lake we were met be friendly owners and a great cat named Tomorrow. This was one of our highlights of the North Shore. We enjoyed our stay so much that we made a point to stay here on our way back. Friendly, clean and quiet. A...

We stayed here for 4 nights while on a motorcycle trip in July 2016. We rented out the duplex up the hill and one of the lodge rooms - it was perfect for our group! If you are looking for a 5-star resort, this is not the place to come. If, however, you want a family friendly extremely clean place...

We have been to Lax Lake Resort six times. Each time we leave there relaxed and refreshed. We are basic, rustic people and this resort fits us to a tee. The beauty is breathtaking. Our lodge room overlooks the lake and that lake is gorgeous. Melodie is wonderful. It is a very clean, comfortable place with everything we need to...

Truly a hidden gem. With several campsites right on the lake, Lax Lake is only a 10 minute drive to Tetteguche State Park, Palisade Head, and Shovel Point. The resort has electricity poles by pods of sites, incredible staff (The woman who runs it is the sweetest thing), and you can't be mad at the bathrooms and facilities the resort...

This place was absolutely wonderful. Truly a hidden gem. We stayed in campsite 15, which was right on the water with beautiful views! Campsite 14 and 1 were also right on the lake. Lax Lake is only a 10 minute drive to Tetteguche State Park, Palisade Head, and Shovel Point. Because it was October, the tree's were such beautiful colors...

We are new to minnesota and unable to make summer reservations 12 months in advance at the state parks, what a blessing in disguise. I found this campground and made reservations with very little knowledge of the area in general, just happy to have found a place to camp. Great place to camp, perfect location on the Northshore, almost in...

Cute little campground-resort. Stayed in the lodge rooms above the showers/restrooms. They have some rustic cabins but never saw the insides. The cabins dont have running water. The lodge rooms are comfortable and clean but no A/ C.Nice clean lake for boating and fishing. They have some electric sites for campers but no water hook-ups and also several tent sites....

We ventured up to Lax Lake Resort for a day while staying on the North Shore. We were in search of a smaller, warmer lake to relax in for the day and this place was perfect! Dave, whom I'm assuming owns the place, helped us find a spot in his "resort"/campground that would perfectly suit our needs for the day...
