This is the first time we stayed at John Hall's Alaskan Lodge. It was a small, quaint motel/hotel with only about 10 rooms. It was a unique room that was cute and clean. Our room appeared to have been updated in recent years (carpeting, appliances, bathroom. My only issue was that the queen size bed was not very comfortable. The...

We have stayed here twice, both times in a superior suite. We love the feel of the place and the location, which is directly across from Lake Pepin. Our friends joined us one night, and they stayed in a standard room. They were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. We will definitely stay here again.

John Hall's Alaskan Lodge is a fantastic place for a weekend getaway. My husband and I stayed in Superior Suite #1 and enjoyed its amenities. The suite featured a large queen bed, leather sofa, fireplace, TV with cable, DVD player, and kitchenette with sink, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig, dishes, and silverware. There is also free WiFi and an in-room AC...

I & two daughters from SE Wis met the daughter from SW MN for Mother's Day weekend. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The standard suite was comfortable, and very clean. It would be nice to have a container for recycling in the standard suites since they are kitchen units. Otherwise no complaints. Beautiful bathroom and the shower was...

Very nice place. The room was cozy. We heard people with dogs outside but when we were in our room we didn't notice them so they are sound-proofed pretty well! One room had a bed in the living space and then a wall made of Windows? With a door to a separate bedroom. It was nice to be separated but...

We stayed in the superior suites - one one night and another the next! (Our choice). Both were really comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Woodsy decorations, huge bathrooms, great jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Very welcoming and helpful staff. And you can't beat the view!

I met friends on a destination trip to Lake City, Minnesota, and stayed at John Hall's Alaskan Lodge on January 23. The staff were so nice and welcoming. We rented Rooms #2 and #3 and were so happy to be warm in these wonderfully decorated extra large rooms. We felt like we were far away from the snow and cold...

We stayed in Superior Suite #4 in early November. Large bathroom with jacuzzi tub & walk-in shower. Comfortable bed, hard pillows. Mini kitchen is simply a frig, microwave, & coffee maker in a walk-in closet. No dishes to speak of. No ice bucket. But over all a very comfortable place to stay in a nice location. Would stay there again.

We enjoyed 2 nights away for our 25th anniversary. Our room was comfortable and relaxing. The location to town was a perfect and beautiful walk along the lake. The bed was comfortable, although there wasnt much space between the bed and the divider wall. The bathroom was nicely done (newly remodeled) and clean. The couch was very cozy and great...
