Last week, I jumped in the car for an impromptu trip to Duluth to do some exploring of historic homes and to view the beautiful Tiffany windows in a couple of the churches. I had no specific plans and, on the way, looked into the reviews for the B&Bs in Duluth. After reading the reviews, I selected The Ellery House...

If this place is ranked 5th in the city then the other 4 must be unbelieveable -- arrived on time to be greeted by the host -- since we had been to the city many times before no need for references to where to eat -- Beautiful house -- sherry and port left out as was any type of coffee...

My husband and I recently stayed in the smallest, cheapest room they offer and it was more than adequate. The hosts are very interactive- even sat down with us at the breakfast table. The breakfasts were fabulous as was the conversation with the guests and hosts. We always enjoy strolling along the neighborhoods in Duluth, amongst all the mansions, when we...

This is a bed and breakfast with charming owners, great breakfasts - but lacking in space and tiny bathrooms with just toilet and shower. The sink is outside in the room. The mattress had dents where people had slept - not exactly comfy! I love pets, but would never allow a cat to jump on the table where people are...

We loved everything about Ellery House. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything we needed; the bed was comfortable; Jim was a really great host giving us great food and sightseeing tips; and the breakfasts, wow! Without doubt some of the best breakfasts I've ever had everywhere. I mean homemade muffins featuring rhubarb grown in the garden? Come on!...

After being all over Europe and North America, this is by far one of the best trips we have taken. We stayed in the Daisy suite and instantly fell in love with its charm. The bed was wonderful, and the bathroom was to die for. We also fully enjoyed the company of Jim, and their charming cat, Lena.

This is a bed and breakfast that is worth every penny. The owners live on the property but the guests (there are three bedrooms) have the run of the lovely Victorian house to themselves. THis includes access to sherry, port, home-made cookies and a range of teas and coffees 24/7. Breakfast was delicious--a fruit plate and a baked French toast...

We spent one night here on our way up to Grand Marias. The location was great for our use. We would have liked to find a comfortable place to not either in our room or in the loving room, but the seating was not comfortable. However, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. The display was great...

Beautiful Victorian home with friendly hosts greeted us after a week of camping. The luxurious bed and clawfoot tub were just what we needed after roughing it;) There was free use of their butler pantry that was stocked with tea, coffee and cappuccino. The breakfast was the highlight; stuffed French toast, bacon and beverages of our choice. We will absolutely...

Nice owner. Tasty breakfast. Tasty snacks. Comfy bed. Good location. The owner made everyone feel very welcome. Really enjoyed the sherry, port, tea, espresso machine, cookies and brownies. Very relaxing. My only complaint was that it was hard to get ouf of bed in the morning because the bed was so comfy.
