Let me start by saying that the Hotel which we have stayed in before is very clean and we do enjoy it, However it was marred by the fact that they had taken out £200 out of my account without my permission on Friday 28th October, They ask you to hand over a card for pre authorised payment which I... Dear reviewer With the utmost respect, we have dealt with you privately regarding this matter. To call us thieves is diabolical, you accepted that the reason the pre authorisation occurred twice due to the premature removal of your card. You also seemed accepting of the fact that Hotels do take pre authorisations, and that we had done everything in our... More

Lovely hotel and lovely spacious rooms with lovely decor. Rooms very nice, maybe mattresses could do with a change as its slanted in the middle. Coffee , ironing facilities avaiable, love spa to use if you wish. The Babour outlet shop 10 minutes from hotel definately worth a visit.

Nice large room with decent bathroom, sundries etc all close to A1, Sunderland and Newcastle. Positioned in a bland light - industrial area this hotel is good value. Has a fitness suite on site (I arrived to late to use it though) plus restaurant and bar so no real need to travel out after aarival. But if you did want... More

Service by staff is excellent - really attentive, polite and friendly. Food is good and good value for money. Great choice of drinks in the bar. Rooms modern and spacious. Love the fact it has a pool and jacuzzi. Perfect for a rainy day! Highly recommended.

I was dreading this trip to Sunderland and the name of the hotel prior to researching had me worried but I needn't have feared. First night and so far so blooming excellent. I travel a lot and I can honestly say I have not been to a friendlier place. They have the customer service element sewn up. Check In -... More

Excellent location just off the A19/A184 junction, yet very quiet, as the property is set back from any roads and is surrounded by lots of trees and shrubs. Plentiful parking. Inside, the hotel is modern with rooms of a good size, effective air con, and very comfortable beds. One interesting point is that the bathrooms are fully tiled (floors, walls,... More

We went there today for lunch. All the food was barely warm. Every main course came at a different time. One main course was hake. This arrived last as in the words of the head waiter 'takes longer to cook' . Really? It takes two minutes each side. One of the people in our party is an instructor in the... More

Dear Shirley I am truly sorry to read your review, our Chef has been developing his team to build our Sunday lunch trade, and on his first Sunday off it saddens me that he has been let down. The room itself is ok, large bed, desk area, reasonably well appointed bathrooms. Pillows are the cheapest, low quality ones you can imagine though. It is NOISY - there's very little sound proofing between the rooms or the corridor. The real 'fun' starts at breakfast though. Ten pounds, for a twenty minute queue; waiting at the end of which was... More
