I have been staying at Tawas River Park for two years and going into my third. While it is not the prettiest or the largest sites out there, I have to say it is the friendliest place. Its quiet at night and everyone who has stayed around us has been friendly and respectful. The bathrooms are old but very clean....

We were going to stay here but after driving through the park we felt it wasn't for us and our large rig. Looked too cramped for us. Office was closed at 5:30pm, so we left without talking to the management. Most trailers looked like long term residents. It had a little duck pond feature in the middle and paddle boats.

Both Cathy & Rick were so helpful ... location is close to Blues Festival and they provided us "short-cut" directions for good, free parking. wide pull-through sites with picnic table and fire ring. Cable. Campground location to the beach, shopping -- it's all right there within minutes! The bath-house and shower were clean and fellow campers were friendly. We will...

I travel the country, and have stayed here just a few times. That being said over the years I have seen vast improvements to this park. Especially since Cathy and Sherry took it over. Management is professional and kind and informative and the facilities are cleaned multiple times a day. Small things that have added a lot to the enjoyment...

Stopped over at this park and was not impressed with facility. Says RV park, but is mostly very old and run down mobile homes. The manager, Kathy, was quite nice and made us feel welcome. But, she is trying to make it something nicer. Nice restrooms / showers and laundry. OK for overnight, but wouldn't stay longer.

From the moment I called Tawas River RV Park and spoke with Cathy the park manager I felt WELCOMED. She took the time to answer ALL my questions about the park and the area. We love to ride our bikes and EVERYTHING we could want was less than a 10 minute ride: the 10+ mile bike path along Lake Huron...

This place made a great weekend possible for us. Very lenient on our parking situation. Close to the bay. The manager was fantastic. She showed us neat things to do in town. The bathrooms are marginal but functional. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it to everyone!

My family and I stayed at this campground on the busiest weekend for camping (4th of July). We were greeted by one of the nicest and most accommodating staff in our camping experiences. The park is aged but the staff do a great job at keeping it up. We enjoyed karaoke and our children enjoyed a craft day (all of...
