Hotel is in great location in town, walk to everything. Decorated with antiques and has charming homey feeling. Has a shared library room, open living area with piano and DVD's to use. Our room was quiet, clean with comfortable queen bed. Provided ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Staff was very helpful and friendly too. Included a very nice breakfast buffet...

Let me start with a positive, location for the shops and water front. The living area is nice and cozy. The B&B needs updating. First they do not have enough parking spaces for all the guests. You drop your suitcase off then drive around the streets trying to find a space. If you use your car you start over looking...

First time at a B and B and wasn't impressed. No service at all. We had to find someone to check us in and check us out. We missed the breakfast so cant comment on that. Room was fine and clean. Location was great. Lots of cute stores in area to walk. I wouldnt run back.

Dropped in on a Wednesday night in October and was greeted by Cynthia the evening inn keeper. She was fabulous, friendly and helpful, showing us some of the rooms available. We choose a lower floor room with in-room jacuzzi and self standing shower, king size bed and lovely ammonites. The bed was comfortable with a variety of pillow choices (which...

This was our fourth visit in thirteen years to The Maplewood and it has always been a favorite getaway for us, however, this year we were disappointed in the service. The staff were very inexperienced and didn't seem to know how to host guests, further we had invited some friends (a lesbian couple) and it appeared as if staff weren't...

Lovely old Hotel, feels like a B&B at half the price. Very nice breakfast & our room was nice size, clean with walkin shower. Recommend getting a room on side away from post office next door. Great location on Butler street.. close to shopping district.

This B & B was extremely disappointing starting with the check-in. The young student that checked us in over the phone told us when we arrived that she was unable to give us the AAA discount because the card was already processed--wrong. The room was nice enough but got extremely cold during the evening--no thermostat in the room for temp....

My husband and I have always wanted to stay here. We finally booked a room for our anniversary this August. Its has beautifully decorated rooms with lots of charm. The owner and staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast on the back porch by the pool and loved the convenience of a short walk to the downtown shops. We...

We stayed here a few weeks ago without reservations and lucked into a room. The owner's grandson, Will, about 10 years old, was awesome...grabbed our bags and lugged them to our room. He served some of the breakfasts, ours included. Our room was small, quiet, shower, clean, etc. We will certainly stay at the Maplewood again.

The Maplewood is a exceptionally fine place to spend a night or two or three. It offers suites finely decorated with beautiful new and period furniture and accessories. It is located well, near all the places you want to visit, but away from the somewhat noisy places. Parking is available which is a big plus. The Breakfast Room is good...
