Not many B&Bs offer happy hour as well as a hot breakfast (served buffet-style) with such variety for both - plus brownie bites for a bedtime snack. Breakfast was truly delicious; the happy hour treats were also very tasty. Our only suggestion would be to alternate the happy hour snack selection from one day to the next. Since we were... More

I'm not really sure exactly what I expected, but more than we got. The photo on their website was a glamour shot of the outside....they definitely need some TLC. The inside is OK, old, small bedrooms, with small bathrooms. The Innkeepers were nice and friendly. We didn't stay for the wine and cheese, so that was our fault. Instead we... More

The South Cliff Inn Bed and Breakfast was perfect. Googled nice Bed and Breakfast by the water near a quaint town and a car museum. And fate treated us to St. Joseph, Michigan, South Cliff Inn on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, and The Gilmore Car Museum just an hour away. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by the... This is my third stay at the South Cliff, and my preferred lodging when I visit Saint Joseph. Since I travel solo, I normally book the Morning Room in advance, however this was a spur-of-the-moment idea to drive to St. J at 1pm and spend the afternoon at the beach. The Admiral was available with my same-day booking and affordable... More

We stayed for two nights. The property is very tastefully decorated and comfortable with ample parking. It is a little way out of St.Joseph Center though so would take 20-30 minutes to walk there. We were greeted by a lady - sorry, can't recall her name - who it appeared was mainly interested in taking payment. I know it's a... More

This property is a beautifully decorated, clean and very, very well maintained B&B overlooking Lake Michigan. We stayed in the Harbor Room which offers a stunning sunset view of Lake Michigan from the comforts of your own room!! If you do not have a lake view from your room, the beautiful, serene deck is just as nice of a place... More

My wife and I stayed in The Study. We had very nice balcony to see Lake Michigan. Bill's breakfasts exceeded expectations. Wine and cheese in the evenings to socialize with other guests. By the end of our weekend, we felt like Bill and Mark were old friends. The atmosphere was peaceful, the gardens beautiful, the view of the Lake breathtaking.... More

Bill and Mark are fabulous hosts. Way above average! We went on a fishing charter and caught lots of trout during our stay and Bill was kind enough to keep them in the freezer for us the following day :) If that not enough, when I got home that night I noticed he had repacked all of them into portion... We found the accommodations very nice, private, clean with daily house cleaning and fresh plush towels, whirlpool tub, large shower, chocolate candy bites in our room daily, fireplaces (one gas and one electric), heater in the bathroom, and a heater/dryer over the towels. TV/DVD and free movies were available. Our suite was right off the parking area so it was... More
