We stayed in the B & B part and were pleased with the room and service we received. Our room was very clean with a fireplace and sitting area on the main floor. A nice breakfast was served and snacks were available thru out the day. It's true that the outside needs some tender loving care but the inside was...

We stayed in room 11 in the hotel part. It was so clean. not a bug on the window ledges, not dust on the blinds not even a hair in the tub or floor. It was so big with a fire place. Bed was very comfortable. Room very quite we could see the lake from our room. They even had...

Loved the view. Our balcony faced the shoreline and was a pleasant spot to have morning coffee (which we had to go out for). We stayed in mid-Sep so it was extremely quiet. No one else in the motel part at all. Facility exterior really needed some attention. The room was clean and roomy (#11). Room really could have used...

I don't expect much from a motel room that was $59/night in-season, but since the Trip Advisor reviews were all pretty positive I figured that we could give it a shot. I'm really starting to wonder about reviews or reviewers after staying here. The Colonial House Inn was in a state of disrepair: paint peeling, gutters missing, broken windows, weeds,...

This hotel (we didn't stay in the B&B part) is right in the heart of downtown St. Ignace, located across from one of the ferries and in walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops. There is free off street parking behind the motel section. Room 11 is very large, with a fireplace, daybed, couch, and more! The balcony...

I stayed in the motel section. Has a balcony to sit on and enjoy the water view and people watch. It's walking distance to many restaurants and tourist type places in town. Perfect view of the Saturday fireworks just across the bay. It's an old place with character. If you're looking for brand new and perfect it's not for you....

The Colonial House Inn in St Ignace is very convenient to the Ferry that goes over to Mackinack Island ( right across the street) but it was a pretty average facility. The staff "Susan" and a couple others we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast of stuffed French toast, juice , coffee , sausages was a hit! The...

I won't give away the price, but let's just say the place is a very special getaway for the affordable rates. I am glad this isn't available on Expedia, or it would probably bring in too much traffic and change the close-knit, comfy feel. This is a great place to write down in your travel diary and future travel calendar....

All things good about our stay. We arrived way before check-in and received a warm welcome from Susan and early access to our room "Ivory". Very accommodating to our gluten free needs at breakfast as well as other food issues. Delightful service. Central to everything in St Ignace. Great porches/balconies to enjoy the Saturday night fireworks, catch the sunrise, or...

We stayed in the motel, not the B&B. The room was spacious, being able to sit out on the balcony was nice, the staff (both when we arrived and checked out) were very friendly, the rose bushes in the parking lot smelled heavenly, it is in a good location close to many things, but the bed was horrible. Both my...
