A short Labor Day weekend trip led us to an overnight stay in St. Ignace, Michigan. With the unofficial end of summer and the Labor Day weekend passed, hotel and motel rooms were plentiful and much cheaper than peak season. We chose to stay at the Aurora Borealis Motor Inn. Our room was large with two queen beds and a...

We stayed here as we were visiting Mackinac Island. This is a very outdated, basic motel. It is clean but beyond that there is nothing else making me want to return. The rooms are plain. No pictures on wall. Beds very uncomfortable. Yes the area is expensive during tourist season and this room was somewhat less expensive yet it definitely...

Very clean! Appreciated a clean room for a reasonable price. Could smell the clean sheets and clean towels soon as we walked in the room. The bed was a little firm but the sheets were so clean and comfy. Provided us with a discount for breakfast and were helpful in showing us our room and parking. Great stay.

Obviously comfortable with the number of guests, the desk clerk was rude to me when I stopped to inquire about a room. I found a much nicer motel a few miles north. Look around, there are options. We stayed previously, so it isn't as if they turn away folks on motorcycles, but that night I didn't need to stand there...

Stayed one night here and found that it is a basic hotel. no frills just a place to sleep. clean. in room coffee pot, clock, outdated tv. If your value minded, this isn't the place for you. there are no other amenities offered such as a simple continental breakfast or pool for the cost, other than some lake views rooms...

Very few amenities but we were only there to sleep. Very clean. Nice and quiet. Manager was great. Call them direct for the best price. Less than $60. I might spend a few more bucks to be right on the lake and for more amenities if I was going to stay for a week or more. Bring your own hair...

The bed was the most uncomfortable, that we have slept in. The pillows were very small in nature. Towels and wash cloths were very thin and the room was very noisy. You heard the water run from the room above and next door any time the toilet flushed or the shower was being used.. For the $159.00 we paid, which...

Okay. I get supply and demand, but $209 (with the senior discount) plus tax is the classic tourist rip-off. The summer traveler is Clark Griswold to these folks. For your $238 you get a room that is not the equivalent of a Motel 6. It's clean. And it's the only place left in town this weekend. Call ahead and stay...

I was disappointed with my booking.com experience. They did not give me the option of indicating children were staying in the room and upon checking in I was charged an additional $5 per child per night. So the hotel was no longer the good deal that I was expecting. Aside from that, the manager was very knowledgeable and had good...

We stayed one night in preparation to go over to Mackinac Island the following day. The hotel is no frills but clean. Senior Citizens 55 and older get a 20% discount. Exterior entrances, but you can park in front of your room. The desk clerk/ owner was vey knowledgeable and had discount ferry tickets for sale.
