We rented cabin #16 for 5 nights and loved it! For me, I prefer a quieter, smaller campsite (vs. KOA-like campgrounds) and this was perfect for us. The cabin was laid out well for the 5 of us. We cooked our meals outdoors every day and enjoyed our view of the pond. The kids had fun on the playground and...

My husband and I met our 2 best friends here for camping labor day weekend. I absolutely loved this campsite and it was in the perfect location, but sadly we will never return because of how we were treated by the owner. We were accused of drinking and using “colorful language” and were told to “remember that this is a...

We stayed in Cabin #19. The kids loved the playground and kids bikes. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. There's a fishing pond stocked with small perch on the property. We spent several hours fishing around the pond with the kids. Also, went fishing across the road at the public access dock on Stony Lake. My family and I...

Don't be fooled by the online descriptions this is your typical run of the mill campground. Before making our reservations we did our research and were lead to believe that this was a christian campground with no alcohol allowed. We made our reservations thinking that we would not have to deal with the wild parties you typically see on the...

We rented cabin 16 at Stony Haven over Memorial Day weekend. This is a smaller campground, that wasn't very busy which we really liked. There is a fishing pond, although it didn't seem to have any fish, my son still had fun trying to catch the tadpoles. There are leaves everywhere which I considered to be a fire hazard. They...

I stayed here with my family over the summer and half the reason we booked here was because we were told by the campground that it was located on a lake. It wasn't, it was across the street from it and the campground had NO beach access. Overall the campground was okay, they claimed to have a stocked fishing pond,...

We stayed in cabin 19 July 17 and 18. The cabin was clean and very nice. The campground itself needs attention. The leaves are raked but left in piles, the bathrooms are cleaned but need a good deep cleaning. My daughter rented bikes there. My grandson got the only 3 wheeler that actually worked well. My daughter tried several before...

The Lord has blessed us with an abundance of shade trees. Leaves and mulch provide cushioning in the playground and protection from erosion on hillsides. Fallen leaves build up a rich soil that is helpful in leveling cabin sites. Standard and premium sites are raked clean. We provide rakes for campers in the rustic area. Fun Cycles are very popular...

We went to Stony Haven Campgrounds on July 12-16 2012. Three families stayed in cabins 15 and 17. Our daughter was sleeping in cabin 17 when her husband turned the lights on only to find her covered with thousands of bed bugs....ick!!! The place looked like it had been infested for a long time. Our sister-in-law was on the top...

We thank Dr. and Mrs. Lewis and their families for helping us identify the bed bug infestation in one of our cabins and offering their suggestions. We relocated their family members into another cabin for the remainder of their weekend stay and gave them full refund. We contacted our insurance agent who compensated them for their personal belongings. Liberty Pest...

Excellent Family atmosphere. We stayed 4 days, loved it. Clean, quiet, beautiful property. the owners were very helpful and nice. The cabin (we rented the basic) was great. The owner let us peek into the top of the line cabin when she cleaned it and it was amazing. The one we'll pick next year. It's like having a very small...
