We stayed one night in a deluxe room at this hotel. The 1st floor room (29) had the largest balcony and was very quiet. Rather like the Ronseal advert this hotel 'does what it says on the tin'. We could quibble about things in the room not being quite right like the pedal bin not opening, the shaving mirror light...

We stopped off here for a night with our greyhound. The hotel was accommodating enough but felt a little tired. I'm not sure I'd have wanted to stay for more than a night or two. Location is great, just round the corner from the beach and a shortish walk into town. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner but it...

My wife and I visited with my sister and brother in law from New Zealand, for one night on the last Saturday of May 2016. The weather was excellent and temperatures in the mid twenties. In spite of the alleged fuel shortages (French strikes) the island was very crowded with visitors, mainly French but also English, Belgian and Dutch. The...

After reading many reviews, not all favourable, I booked a room at Les Prateaux quite late in the year and was only able to have the Half Board tariff. This slightly annoyed me as I don't usually have anything but B&B or room only but given the location (right where I wanted it to be) I accepted it - am...

A friendly welcome by pleasant staff, a clean and bright room with a small patio surrounded with flowers. A short walk through the wood to several sheltered coves, what more could you ask for? We hade dinner outside on a very warm evening, the food was excellent if a bit pricey, unfortunately the service was a bit erratic, (a half...

This is a really nice hotel. I love the rooms arranged around the garden, which are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive and there are some pleasant little walks within easy reach of the hotel. The food in the restaurant is good. It is a trifle pricey for an area that is well provided for accommodation,...

What strikes when entering Les Prateaux is the smile of the owner who welcomes us and guides us to our room, or rather, miniature pavilion since most of the hotel is composed of single story adjoining rooms arranged around a nice garden. Rooms have their own small patio with couch and reclining chairs. The entire ensemble of rooms and patios...

Excellent service. Excellent reactivity from the owner. Nice room ( large and clean ) Great location, just steps from the beach. Truely exceptional table (half board) definately worth it. Superb wine list chosen with knowledge and taste. However, I would make the lighting a bit more intimate in the restaurant and maybe include some large plants to separate the tables....

“We've stayed here three times, and sampled 4 different rooms. All are clean and elegant (in a rustic sort of way). We were delighted with our pair of rooms (23 & 24) at the "head" of the courtyard, but virtually all rooms look out onto the courtyard and are delightful. I would probably avoid the rooms nearest to the restaurant, however, as most diners choose to eat outside in the Summer, which might be irritating if one wanted to sit in one's private patio and have some privacy. Otherwise, this is a fabulous location and you really can't go wrong.”
