We stayed here on our Honeymoon and had a fantastic time. We only stayed a night but wished we'd spent more time. Great restaurant and go for the degustation menu!!! Great large rooms and first class facilities like pool and spas.

Before departing on our trip we saw the negative review of April 26, and nearly cancelled. After talking to our son, a traveler, who dismissed highly negative reviews, we held our breath and kept the reservation. Thank goodness. The setting is beautiful, our room was clean, the view of the grounds from our window was beautiful. The hotel personnel were...

It is very easy, following a disappointment, to let oneself go and imagine that because the 'sejour' in question was a failure, it is then permissible to tell lies, exaggerate and, to put it bluntly, foul mouth an establishment to the point of being positively vindictive. This is not what I intend to portray here in any way; what I...

The grounds of this hotel are perfection. The dining rooms and bar do not disappoint. The swimming pool is exquisite. However, the coveted Room 17 in Karen Brown's book is another story entirely. This room is located at the center front directly above the entrance. A gorgeous view of the property gives way to a dated and faded room. The...

My friend and I traveled to Normandy and stayed at this amazing, gracious hotel. The food was outstanding the service wonderful and the rooms luxurious. The indoor pool and the wonderful grounds were an added bonus! The hotel is close to the Bayeau tapestry, the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, and Mont St. Michel. I'm planning a return trip to...

I stayed here with my husband and 8 year old daughter for one night. I wanted a special hotel and was prepared to pay a reasonably high price to get what we wanted. The outside of the chateau is certainly quite picturesque, but having booked a superior room, I was surprised to be shuffled off to a building on the...

Cost for 1 night, 2 rooms and evening meal - £750 phew!! My family stayed for one night which was long enough. My parents stayed in a room for disabled which smelt damp and needed a good clean. The bulb in the bedside lamp was smashed and even though the manager told me it had been replaced - it hadn't....

My husband and 26yr old daughter stayed in the large bedroom on the 3rd floor. It was roomy with good windows and ventilation. While the decor can be described as older, it was clean and in keeping with the decor and feel of the place. The grounds were beautiful, and we loved sitting on the patio or sun room after...

I booked this hotel wanting my parents to enjoy a picturesque chateau in the French countryside. When we arrived, there were multiple wet spots in the carpet and the room smelled of mold. The manager present that night said there was nothing that could be done but that someone would be there in the morning. No one contacted us in...
