This place is difficult to find, but clean with good breakfast....1 shared table...parking nearby. However, in our room the bathroom was quirky and small, the room was a good size but the beds were really not fitting for a room costing more than E60......old camp style beds with thin foam mattress.......not acceptable. Don't be too seduced about the historical pitch, the owners should really invest more for their client's comfort.

Room was charming and very French, old style furniture, high ceilings . Host was friendly, good breakfast sat around large dining table with other guests. This was a little tricky due to language barrier , although not too uncomfortable. Room supplied everything needed, albeit a little basic.

The room was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and always available to answer questions. Breakfast (included in the price) was typically French and very good. Only 20 mins from Beziers, and the same to Serignan Plage.

This unassuming house hides a beautiful home in traditional French style. Conveniently situated in a quiet street in town with plenty of parking nearby. Possibly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. We had a large air-conditioned room at the top of the house with spacious bathroom. Madame made us very welcome and provided a delicious breakfast of speciality pastries and jam plus peaches from the tree in the courtyard. Fantastic value at 65 Euros. I would thoroughly recommend Aux Anges Gardiens and would certainly stay here again.

We had one of the larger rooms at Aux Anges Gardien (65€ per room incl BF). A large clean room with a lot of antique touches at the street side but very quiet during the day and night. Location : right in the old center of Villeneuve-les-Beziers. I think that there are 4 or 5 rooms, the larger rooms are a bit more expensive. Very good bed and comfortable high quality bedlinen. Airco available, no fridge nor TV (but who cares). Bathroom was large and clean. The lady of the house is very attentive and helpful and speaks French AND fluent American (because she lived for years in Virginia). Breakfast was good. No garden but a very cosy courtyard with flowers and bonsai trees. A lovely dog and a soft cat will welcome you. Recommended in Villeneuve !!

We spent 6 nights at Anges Gardiens with Marie and Bernard. Our room was lovely, large with french doors over the courtyard. They were both wonderful hosts along with their dog Janice and cat who made the stay even more homely. The village was small but had a gorgeous restaurant and right near the Canal Du Midi. The area was a great base for exploring the surrounds including Sete, Carcassone, Beziers and Montpellier. The breakfast was simple French fare and fresh fruit. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely home.

We had a great stay - beautiful room, massive bathroom, bedlinen of highest quality and excellent breakfast. Really good value for money - sad we were only there for one night, we will definitely come back if we return to the area.

Huge bedroom and bathroom even for american standard. Hostess was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was simple but excellent. The coffee was one of the best. Some details need to be updated but the room and bathroom were very clean. We'll go back if we stop around the area.

We arrived about 9pm and we're given a warm welcome by the charming hostess who speaks excellent English. Our room was warm and cosy. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful crisp linen. The ensuite bathroom was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast - the food was plentiful and tasty. Our hostess could not have been more helpful. Thank you.

We loved our stay here. Booked for one night and extended. The host and hostess were really welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was great with homemade jams, brioche and various breads, fresh fruit and croissants. Great place to stay when exploring the surrounding cities and beaches. Private parking in nearby lockup was secure too with own key for duration of our stay.
