We enjoyed our 4-night stay at Chateau de la Cote in June of 2016. We were 6 Americans--2 seniors, 2 adults, and 2 children (ages 6 and 9). The chateau is old and authentic. The rooms are large. Furnishings are somewhat worn, but still clean and usable. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was more modern--lighter and clean. The food...

My son and daughter - in - law were married at the chateau on 3rd September this year. It is the most stunning setting, and the chateau did not disappoint! We were so lucky to have a room in one of the turrets and it was beautiful. The wedding itself was lovely, taking place in a wooded area in the...

Such a pretty chateau, just as you imagine in any fairy tale of knights, princes and princesses. We and our friends had spacious bedrooms with large bathrooms. Our bedroom was in one of turrets, with the bathroom adjoining in a corridor shape, very different! The furnishings and carpets were a rather dated and worn, but it all added to the...

Stay in a french Chateau? Yes, please. This stunning castle is a bit hard to find but GPS got us there. Coming up the driveway affords a stunning view of the turrets and the grounds. Thank goodness there was a pool available because it was so hot out. A swim and then a glass of rose in one of the...

My partner and I have always talked of staying in a chateau in France and on this recent trip we did. What an absolutely stunning location and fabulous place to relax, it was such a shame we couldn't have stayed longer. We had booked an annex room but when we arrived at the chateau Oliver the manager offered us a...

Chateau de la Cote was the absolute highpoint of our trip. It was an adventure (in a good way) to get there- driving along tiny little roads, past minuscule villages built centuries ago, past green fields, through dense woods that overhung the road...And then the chateau itself was elegant, but comfortable, and beautiful. My daughter and I shared a suite...

We first stayed here a year ago to break our journey from St Malo to South West France. Based on that good experience decided to do the same this time. Same lovely welcome. Excellent dinner. We so much appreciated the thoughtfulness of the waiting staff and the knowledgable help from the wine waiter. Very nice breakfast. This really is a...

Our initial experiences were good and the Chateau and gardens were impressive. We were in the gatehouse which was no great problem as we are fairly fit but the walk up to the Chateau ( and back down after dinner) may not have suited everyone. Dinner was excellent although the bar area was very small. Breakfast was dismal, had better in...
