The old colonial house with galleries surrounding the courtyard is beautiful, and the location three blocks from the central square is perfect. But at the moment, nothing else is good about this hotel. The rooms are gloomy with old - definitely not period - furniture, threadbare carpets and a lack of comfort items. The service and breakfasts are just OK,...

My husband and I opted to stay at La Perla two nights to celebrate my birthday. The stay was we worth it. Our room was very comfortable, had air conditioning and was right by the pool. The staff was lovely and attentive. It was well worth the extra dollars spent to celebrate in beautiful surroundings.

This is not one of the cheaper spots in Leon, but it is worth the expense. The building is really as beautiful as it looks in the photos, the staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms beds and bathrooms are all great. I really liked the dark wood furnished rooms, the courtyard, the breakfast and the location, which is right...

La Perla has such a beautiful presentation it draws you to see whats inside. the 150 year hotel is extravagant. The staff is extremely nice and the hotel is kept very clean. One con about the hotel is that wifi wouldn't work in our room. The room was $120 a night. The location is right in the heart of Leon's city...

My boyfriend and I spent several days at La Perla in the Junior Suite. We arranged for an airport transfer through the La Perla as well. The driver was about 15 minutes late which caused a bit of confusion as we were waiting outside the airport at night, but once he arrived, the transfer was seamless. The Junior Suite was...

The hotel is very beautiful and calm and the room was the best we stayed in on our trip, especially the aircon which is a god send in the heat of Leon. The breakfast was very good especially the coffee! The only downside was the pool area which was a little small and not really set up for relaxing around....

I had one night at La Perla last week. It was a very nice room, a quiet hotel with wonderful staff. I would recommend staying here if you want a quiet, clean and beautiful atmosphere with a great location. Leon is filled with culture and I wish I had 2 nights instead of 1, Leon needs more than 2 days...

A lovely corner of Leon when you need to get away from . . . you know, Leon. Outside it's dusty, hot, vibrant and exciting - inside La Perla it's tranquil and shady and cool. The staff is attentive and our pick up at the Managua airport was as smooth as could be. Aside from the what appears to be...

My wife and were wandering around and decided to stop here for dinner. Looked like a nice spot, quiet and with nice breeze. Ordered a pasta dish and a corvina both were inedible.Overcooked pasta and a piece of corvina that was so well done I could have used it for a weapon. The bill, after not eating, totaled the bill...

My wife and I have just stayed a couple of nights at La Perla, in one of their Junior Suites. A totally wonderful restored old building, made even more special by the most attentive and engaging staff. The included breakfast is a treat. We highly recommend it as a base for a stay in Leon.

Thank you for your kind comments. As a family owned business we really appreciate your review. We continue to try to improve our operations as even small items count. As an example, our General Manager, George, made a decision that he would use the reception area as his office.... " Close to the customer!" Sincerely, Jim
