Very good basic hotel located near the city center. We had a rather small room with two single beds. Clean and charming! Basic but very tasty breakfast. Charming small pool area to lay down and relax after exploring one of Nicaragua’s most authentic cities. Very friendly and helpful staff.. Possibility to have dinner as well.
We arrived there for our first day in Nicaragua with my wife our 14yr old son and our daughter with a freshly broken foot. The staff was amazing. The room was cool and quiet (ground floor back three beds) the pool was as wonderful as the photos. It was really an amazing little place and we met some friendly other travelers that gave us some good info for the rest of the trip. Oh Yeah - very helpful laid back staff.
Our absolute favourite city hotel on our trip through Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Simple but spacious room with a king bed and 2 singles, easy access from room to the courtyard pool so we could keep an eye on the kids, and low-key restaurant where we ate breakfast. A lovely retreat from the hustle of the city.
We stayed here for two nights with our two children (9 and 11). Its a sweet little oasis hidden among tightly condensed buildings in downtown Léon. The seating and porch swing around the pool give you a great place to wind down before bed. The breakfast choices are more than most places offer, all very tasty! The tour company they work with is amazing!!! Small group tours with multi-lingual guides! We had friends that went with outside tour groups and ended up with 30+ in their group...no fun! We sand boarded down Cerro Negro and had wonderful conversation with our guides. We went to the museum of Heroes in the city center to learn about the country’s civil war from a living war veteran!! A life changing experience... Léon is truly a beautiful and unapologetic city, refusing to become a touristic cliche, which is so refreshing! If you want authentic Nicaragua, please spend a couple of days in this amazing city!…
Hotel is small and charming. Cool and hip. Pool is awesome. Well located, breakfast included friendly staff. Downside is the glass French doors do not provide sufficient sound insulation so I had some stupid neighbors who decided to have a ladies 6:30 am convesertation outside our room on the hanging chaise lounge. Really annoying. Had to literally open to door and ask them in a cynical way to shut up people are trying to get some sleep here. Rooms at least nine was small but nice and sufficient for our needs. Only stayed one night Leon is a very dirty city with no decent sidewalks to walk on. Not much to do there.
