I really liked Lazy Bones. It was affordable for the backpacker, and more importantly in Leon, it had a pool. It was located in a decent area, walking distance to most places you need to get to, and they did laundry at the place next door which was very helpful. The rooms were basic, but it was a nice place...

Great non-party hostel with a great common space to hang out. Centrally located. Hammocks, lounge chairs around the pool, couches, pool table, etc. I used the common space more than I did in other cities I visited as Leon was dreadfully hot so would definitely head back to hostel during midday sun to chill. Inexpensive chilled drinks available at all...

Lazybones is an excellent hostel and would get 5 stars if it was not for the totally inadequate number and strength of the fans in the dorms. Leon is the hottest city in Nicaragua and at night the dorms are stiflingly hot and airless with just 2 limp fans high up in the ceilings. In the middle of the night...

It's definitely overpriced for what you expect, 27 us for a room of 3, without even towels and soap included.. It's nothing but still unbelievable for the price. If the very not welcoming woman at the entrance didn't make you turn away, the weird pool (makes you greasy..) and then to achieve the drawing you get a change for dollars...

We stayed several nights here in one of the private rooms with shared bathroom. The hostel is clean and safe, the staff friendly and helpfull and there are some areas where you can meet people or relax in a hammock. The internet is strong and reliable and you get free (and pretty good coffe in the morning). Breakfast isn't included...

Stayed at Lazybones 1 night before going to Utila, the room was ok, it was clean and the bed comfortable. The shared bathrooms are kept very clean. I really like the common areas and the pool is such a nice addition in the heat of Leon. The location is great and its just 6 mins away from the main square...

Nice room with a bed you don't wanna leave! Free coffe and pooltable. You can enjoy lazy time by the pool with a cold beer ( they just put it on your bill), and they even called a restaurant to get us a pizza delivered at the pool! Whats not to love?

I disagree with the review below which asdvises couples to stay clear. Of course it all depends on your perspective. My wife and I are more the backpacker type but prefer private rooms where available and economical. We were very happy with our private on the second floor (room7) for 3 nights not facing the pool but facing the courtyard...
