I stayed here a ear ago and it was good. Now it's excellent. Good accommodation and excellent food. We stayed for three nights whilst visiting the temples and Buddhas birthplace. Which is all you can do here:) Good base.

This was the first hotel in Nepal after I crossed the border from India. The hotel is part of the Kathmandu guesthouse family. It's a nice and quiet place. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice. The hotel has a restaurant which is a good option for dinner.

On first arrival it looked very Grand and high class. Very attentive and friendly front desk and employees. Rooms were big and spacious and WiFi coverage is very good all round. Hotel is located not far from the major sights. Restaurant food was good with a wide spread but after a few days of Nepalese food we were dying for...

Really enjoyed my stay at the Buddha Maya Hotel. It is located on the main street just a few minutes drive to the Lumbini Park. Ideal if you are visiting the Park to do some sightseeing. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was a balcony overlooking the colourful landscaped gardens and swimming pool. Everyone was very friendly and...

The Buddha Maya Hotel was a welcome sanctuary in the scorching heat of the plains. It is a few kilometres out of the main town and this limits options for dining etc but also makes it a very quiet place. It is set in a beautiful garden and is not too far from the Lumbini Garden, birthplace of the Buddha....

I understand that the hotel has new management, and has been recently renovated. So, I would suggest to disregard some older reviews with criticisms. The hotel is clean, the rooms are lovely and comfortable, the shower is warm and the food is excellent (I understand that the new manager was formerly a chef himself). A good experience.

As mentioned in a previous post this place shows great promise but just doesn't deliver. Lack of hot water was a real issue, restaurant dinner and breakfast were below average, staff were friendly but needed training - as mentioned, a management issue not the staffs fault. Perhaps Lumbini does not have overall good accommodation and this is one of the...

This is a great hotel with spacious rooms and nice food. The water lily pond with lovely ducks at the back of the buildings is truly a nice surprise. Restaurant staff are friendly and professional. The decor of the rooms is warm and calming. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every moment.

A bizarre place really. The rooms have promise and the grounds are pleasant but the operation is run poorly. No hot water in the shower, the food is terrible, house keeping just walked in to the room without knocking, the lobby bathrooms are a wreck, for some strange reason you can only use the wifi in the reception and the...
