A typical guest house in Lumbini. You can get cheaper. Power cuts galore up to 14 hours a day now and will go up to 18 hours. Be warned before you come to this area. The sites worth viewing is the birth place, which is just an arrow pointing. Bodh Gaya in India is a better area. If you're a...

Dirty. Like a zoo. We had a gekko in the room (i don't know it was an usual item of the the room or not) which was usefull because of the insects. Spiders and spidereggs in the bed etc. We couldn't or didn't dare to use the bathroom. Slept on the bed in clothes. Pillow had a suspicious brown patch....

Staff were nice but facilities minimal and basic. I got a very large room but dirty bathroom. The choice of food from the restaurant was again minimal. The table cloth for tables in restaurant was dirty, it was not a nice place to eat at all.

The owner is a very shady character. He tried to charge us double the agreed upon price at check out. He became very disrespectful when I argued. As I was showing him my booking.com email and a currency conversion site he spoke over me saying 'blah, blah, blah.' We had a bus to catch and we were in a hurry....

I have to start my review by pointing out the reason you will travel here is because it's the birthplace of Lord Buddha. So find your zen self and be gracious for a roof over your head - that's what I had to do. Two days out from Lord Buddha's birthday we decided to travel to Lumbini and got a...

The staff were gorgeous and they looked after me very well. Room and hotel were clean and homey ..the bed was hard like most nepali beds but i haven't had any backpain since i arrived so probably a hard bed is a good thing.

This is an ok place - it is slightly away from the centre - overlooking fields -a short walk (5-10 mins)to the Park - the room was real small for 2 people with back packs. Restaurant was ok and staff were helpful

I never stayed at Siddartha guest house, in fact, i specifically decided against it in favor of camping outside (turned out to be a very bad decision). Before that night, i had already lost my phone and wallet three nights earlier and all i had left was an envelope of 5000 rupees. That night, it was stolen while i was...

The Siddhartha guesthouse is an oasis for us on our trip through Nepal. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the shower is clean and super-refreshing, and the location is so beautiful and peaceful. Very close to the Sacred Garden. We booked online, and it was so inexpensive that we were a little worried. But it is awesome!
