The Location was great , in the centre of Bhatakpur surrounding by some cafe and souvenir shop. The room was clean and I can see the beautiful view of pagoda. The wifi was great. How ever since the location is inside the heritage of Bhatakpur, I need to call the hotel to pick me up at the main gate to...

Great price, excellent location, clean functional rooms, wi-fi service (when there is no load shedding of electricity), and wonderful staff. The Pagoda Guesthouse is located right in the ancient medieval town square and also has a rooftop restaurant that boasts beautiful views of the pagoda, town, and surrounding mountains. The owner is a very sincere, friendly, and helpful and we...

Walking distance to the sites in Bhaktapur, isolated from the street noise, plenty of hot water, clean room and bathroom, rooftop restaurant with affordable and tasty food, decor was dated but this gave a nostalgic feel, the beds weren't the most comfortable but it still slept very well

We stayed in a local guest house for a few days. The buildings are cramped and small. We then found this guest house and moved here. The rooms are clean and high ceiling. I suggest for taller guys or gals to stay here to avoid bumping your heads into the ceiling.

We stayed in this guest house in October 2013. Very good communication during booking; Rooms and roof terrace were very clean, staff friendly and attentive. The location is stunning in an amazing city - you could not find a more central place to stay. Owner arranged for taxi to airport - all very good.

Great place to stay with a perfect central location. The family that runs the guest house was very welcoming and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here if your travels take you through Bhaktapur.

Pro: location is excellent, couldn't be better. Room, a double in Pagoda was clean, old, cold and with antiquated electrical outlets. On the first night, because of the usual elec power fall-out, we had a rather old gas heater and had to leave the window or door open(!!) because it was 'dangerous'. Not very comforting. Later we got hot water...

It's always the people that really make your stay. The owners at Pagoda are friendly, engaging and helpful. The guest house itself is well positioned, right next to the prettiest square, Taumadhi, in Bhaktapur, but set back just enough to feel like it's not on the main thoroughfare or tourist routes. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well looked after, and...

Bhaktapur is a great alternative to the madness of Kathmandu and we stayed at the Pagoda Guest House at the beginning and end of our trip to Nepal. It's a modest establishment (you're in Nepal, after all) but clean, well located and well run. Best of all, Ravi and Sharmila are gracious and friendly hosts who will make you feel...

“The choice of room depends on what you wish from it. The lower left room of Pagoda is right by the door. Simple 2-bed room, view of the courtyard, very inexpensive ($10-$15/night) with shared bath. Upper rooms in back: more quiet in early morning. I have not stayed on the upper floors of Newa, but the 1st room front corner is lovely - book room and location (also a bit noisy...but it IS a city. Medieval noises: gongs, animal hoofs, people snorting (no nose sprays :-D), carts...what a back-drop! Book rooms wqell ahead: they do get busy!”
