We booked the place via booking.com. We received the confirmation and everything seemed to be fine. We arrived there at midnight as our bus had a delay of six hours (not uncommon in Laos). The manager didn't except our booking. He didn't even give us an explanation. We had to look for an alternative place in the middle of the...

The view in this hostel is amazing. The location is also good, just a 3 minute walk from the centre. You get soap and towels. You can also refill you waterbottles for free and that is a definite pluspoint! The lady is very friendly. The rooms are basic but the beds are good, the fan works and there is hot...

If I could, I would have stayed there for a week ! Bungalows are very nice, very clean, and most of all very bright thanks to bay windows. Beds are comfortable. On the balcony, it is very quiet and you have a beautiful view on the mountains, a few houses hidden behind trees, and fish ponds. It is so peaceful,...

While we tend to seek places a short distance outside the center of town that are clean and comfortable with basic amenities and a pleasant staff, this one barely made it. It was cheap for sure at $7 a night so we couldn't expect much. The dirt road leading to it was pretty awful (dead rat and huge potholes) so...

Had a bit of a hard time to find it at first, I believed it couldn't possible be in this small unpaved road, but then I followed the water and drove a bit further into that "trail" and voila, there it was. The rooms are nothing special, but however it's just the atmosphere, hanging around and doing absolutely nothing. I...

Rustic bungalows with gorgeous views of fish ponds. Lee, the guy who runs the place, is super nice. Just don't expect typical guest house services like travel assistance, bar/restaurant, laundry, or English. Drinking water and hot shower provided, as well as a tiny TV if you can figure out how it works. Internet was off and on. Sheets smelled funny....

A little bit disappointed after my night there. 2 or 3 couples arrived in the middle of the night, speaking loud and then having sex loud... Beautiful view, nice owners, quite clean room, bed very hard. 50.000 khip.

This guesthouse is located 5 minutes' walk from the centre of town but the view makes it feel remote and secluded. If you manage to book a bungalow then you get a balcony overlooking rice paddies and mountains, not a bad sight to wake up to. The service is Lao style, that is to say verging on non-existant, but when...

I lived in this guesthouse for a little over a month. There are never any staff there and they only have one key per room so you have to be there if you want it cleaned. But it's cheap as anything, comfortable and has amazing views of farmland and the mountains. The few times you do encounter staff they are...
