Absolutely stunning private views and room facilities. All rooms are spaced out and away from all other guests Staff are really hospitable. Common areas are cosy and comfortable Rates include all meals excluding drinks Very special place worth going to for a romantic getaway xx ev

Dont get me wrong it is a beautiful place and the lodge is great the ranger Ted is terrific. The best we have ever had. But the reserve is NOT a BIG 5 Reserve even though they advertise it as such. There is no Buffalo and no Leopard so its a Average BiG 3 Reserve. Get these animals and maybe...

The luxury tents (around 50 sq.m.) are pitched on a raised wooden board with 2 showers (one in and one outside) a bath, a plunge pool, fridge, heater and cooling fan. The cuisine was first rate with an interesting menu that changes every day. The game experience was elevated by an excellent Ranger (Heinrich) who made it a most memorable...

If you are reading this and trying to decide if you should go to Nkomazi, all I can say is to do it. There is not one smidgen of a chance that you will regret your decision. It is absolutely incredible. While sitting in the bath tub outside, under the moon, I thought it doesn't get any better than this....

This was our second visit to Nkomazi and knowing what an amazing experience we enjoyed the first time, we had again high expectations. Yet, you always wonder if the wow effect will not reduce with a second visit. No way !!! Our expectations were easily met. The "total experience" of our entire 3-days stay is simply unforgettable. We brought a...

After arriving here we were brought to our tent. Well, this is glamping extra-de-luxe. A great (big and lovely) bed in the middle of the room, with an ensuite bathroom. Never had a toilet with such a nice view! Two game drives each day: there really is a lot of wildlife to see, but we also loved the scenic views...

Komati Tented Lodge in Nkomazi Game Reserve is truly a hidden gem! A short and easy 3 hour drive from Johannesburg and a wonderful greeting on arrival by friendly and helpful staff, who really set the tone of our stay there, and exceeded our expectations. Lovely, large and spacious tents, all completely private from one another, and all with their...

The Reserve is a comfortable 3 1/2 hour drive from Johannesburg. The accommodation is the best tented camp I have ever stayed in. Service is absolutely tops and the food is wonderful. Its a small reserve about 15,000hectares but is very well stocked and we saw 23 different mammal species including Cheetah Lion Elephant Rhino and abundant general game, with...

Our 4 glorious nights at Nkomazi seem like a dream - if only my dreams were so enchanting. From the moment we arrived we were treated to gracious service and an endless series of surprise touches (I won't mention them and ruin the joy of discovering for yourself). The tents were gorgeous and as well-appointed as most hotels but where...

A group of nine of us spent five days here in late June to celebrate my birthday. Each and every one of us spend the following week raving about every aspect of this reserve. Our tents were appointed better than most hotels. The food was consistently excellent. The staff knew everyone in our party by name and were incredibly gracious...
