Fish River Canyon

This lodge has a amazing location and the other plus is their tour into the Fish River Canyon. This time round the staff was friendly, helpful and smile. There is still some training needed but so much better then 5 years back. The most important thing now is that the company must invest and bring this lodge up to the...

What a difference good management makes! First of all, the lodge is at an amazing position. On the rim of the canyon. Spectacular views! Rooms are very spacious, interesting cement/wood decor. Very effective. Reasonably clean. It does get a bit noisy at night due to high winds. Staff is very jolly and helpful. Food in the evening is very good...

Despite this lodge being situated 19 kms (50 mins drive) from the D463, we decided that we wanted to go to stay there. It was a superb decision because this Lodge is in an incredible location and is very good. We only had a small 2WD car but the roads were also dry. The staff are nice. We had a...

We drove from Cape Town to Fish River Canyon and stayed at the Canyon Lodge which was a beautiful cabin lodge right in the mountain. On our way to the lodge, we had rain and experienced driving through a sandstorm which was slightly scary as you could not see anything in front of you, but it was all part of...

The location of the rooms is wonderful. From the bed you have a wonderful view of the Fish River Canyon. Good hiking. The staff was very good. Unfortunately, there was no staff for the luggage on departure.

We could not believe our eyes when we arrived and saw the view of the canyon over the pool. The service here was unbelievable, particularly compared to the rest of Namibia. Upon arrival, a staffer noticed we had a slow leaking tire (despite our 4x4 for the rough road, we'd picked up a nail) and said someone would look at...

First off, the road isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Yes, it's bumpy and you should use a 4x4, but I saw 2 or 3 2x4 sedans and even a tiny hatchback City Chico in the parking lot. Don't be frightened away by all of the babies in here. The hotel itself is unreal. Astounding views,...

The only thing, I think the tour into the canyon is a bit overpriced.. its not really necessary.. Just walk around,...
