Once again we enjoyed our stay here, always clean, beds comfortable, friendly helpful staff, nice breakfast offerings to get your day started before exploring the island and our favorite spot is their porch to relax, read or play cards on the tables or as some families do,pick up a meal from somewhere in town bringing it back here. Cheese, crackers and lemonade in the...

This was our first time visiting the island. We were recommended to stay at the Inn and we were happy we did. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good. We went with our 4 year old and he really enjoyed being there as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a few days...

The location of the inn is fairly decent, although at the end of the main strip. It was very hot during our early August visit, so walking into the main shop/restaurant area was a sweaty exercise. The inn is fairly clean, but the bathroom could use updating. The room we stayed in was small, but we didn't spend much time...

What a quint little Inn. Absolutely loved this place. The breakfast was amazing. Just go back in time and sit on the porch and watch the bicycles or horse carriages go by for hours. So relaxing. The hospitality was great. Loved the cookies!

This was our first trip to Mackinaw Island. The Inn on Mackinac was a real treat! The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great, and a homemade cookie at bedtime! The porter service to and from Ferry was excellent. Thanks for a great experience for our first trip to the Island.

We have stayed at the Inn on Mackinac twice. Both times were enjoyable. The first time we had a turret room which was the better of the two. The Inn is in easy walking distance to downtown and to the Lakeshore walking path. There is a bike rental place across the street. The breakfast provided is wonderful and when you...

Second year staying here. Two nights this time. Very comfortable beds. A chocolate chip cookie is left in your room for an evening snack. Excellent hot breakfast. Very friendly staff. Large porch to relax on . Will be returning next year.

I've stayed at the Inn on Mackinac Island twice. Both stays were trouble free, comfortable and, made my wanderings on the island very easy. The second time was as a solo traveler. The rooms are all lovely and different. The breakfast buffet is varied to give everyone the breakfast they want and need, expeditiously. Coffee is always available. The dinner...

Our family loves this Inn! We rebook every visit to the Island. It is quiet and the front porch is wonderful. Comfortable chairs make sitting chatting with a coffee or glass of wine and watching the world go by a perfect pass time. Rooms are charming and beds are comfortable. After a day of walking and exploring the roof top...

I rarely offer a 5-star review of any location/facility. So you may be interested in my criteria in doing so. To score a 5 you must offer incredible value, great location and thorough enjoyment. Is the Inn on Mackinac the most elegant location on the island? No. Is it the most expensive.? No. Is it the most centrally located? No....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
