We reserved a room here at the Interlochen Arts Camp so we would not have to drive after a concert ending late in the evening. Our room turned out to be one of the "cottages" along one of the lanes. The cottages seem to have been built in the 40's and have not been worked on much since then. The... More

To start off, the Stone hotel's website is misleading and outdated. You believe that you are booking a "room" but in reality unless you call (what is this, 1981??), upon check-in you are told you will be in a cabin with no wifi, no tv and air conditioning. This is totally fine if you have nothing to do and don't... More

Stayed at the Stone Hotel in the Art/Music school campus 2 weeks ago. The rooms are updated recently and well kept. We took one of the recently updated rooms and we were not disappointed. The lake was at a stone throw's distance and the surroundings were pleasant and calm. The summer camp was on at the campus and we could... More

The lodge as a place to stay for adult music workshops is very convenient. The room and private bath are quite small but was overlooking the lake which was wonderful for walking down and watching the sunset. The place is very quiet with a comfy bed. But you can't beat the location in the middle of this beautiful music camp.... More

The cabin that we stayed in was quite rustic, but the location was ideal.... right on campus! We were dropping our daughter off for school at the Academy. You're definitely paying for the location rather than the accommodations. The cabins are in the woods near the lake. Very very peaceful. Not fancy, but still a great experience.

This was a nice place to stay while we took a class at Interlochen. It was small and out of date but was easy and clean. It could be updated but wasn't terrible. The major struggle was the lack of ability to drive out luggage to the door. We had to trudge from the parking lot with multiple loads in... More

I was staying in this hotel for 4 nights last Sept. for my daughter's registration for the boarding school. It was right on the campus. This is actually is a 1950 dome, not at hotel. Very small old pink shower that would be difficult for someone over $150lb, two twin beds and you would not have room for large suitcase.... More

My lodge room here was HORRIBLE. Mine's floors (and the rug) were so dirty that I had to put the blanket, bedspread and towels on the floor to be able to walk in the place ~ NO joke! These rooms are priced at near hotel rates, they are far from the action of the Arts Center. I wanted to like... More

Was at Interlochen Arts Camp mid-July to see my niece perform and bring her home after the first session of camp ended. We have been going there for years, but never stayed on the property...and now I know why. We paid $116.00/night for a cabin as no rooms in the hotel were available. I have never liked camping and this... More

I have stayed in three of the accommodations here at Stone Hotel. Overall, this is a campus-styled place to stay. This is not a B&B. This is not a hotel, or like any motel you have ever stayed at. The food at the cafeteria is mediocre at best...so plan on either shrugging it off or bringing your own. There are... More
