We originally were going to stay in Saugatuck for the Memorial Day weekend, but it was a last minute trip and there was no availability there. In retrospect I was happy about that. If you are not much of a B&B person like me or don't want to stay in a motel, the Courtyard is only a 20 minute ride and you get the benefit of seeing two nice places at the same time. For being in a small town, we found the hotel to be surprisingly large. It's perfectly situated on 8th Street, which is the main (but quaint) street through downtown. The property is in easy walking distance to shops, boutiques and some great restaurants (many with outdoor seating). The hotel is newer and is well kept up with a good size lobby. We had a King room on the top floor with a balcony. The room was nice, but a little on the small side. The mini fridge and large TV worked great, but the coffee maker wouldn't brew. The pool and hot tub were clean and had plenty of towels. The entire property felt exceptionally clean, but the staff was what made the Courtyard stand out. I originally booked directly through the hotel and Nick at the front desk was exceptional in taking the time to help with some booking details and navigate my Bonvoy program for me. Once at the property both Nick and Loren did a great job in making our stay pleasurable. It's a nice place and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. I gave it four stars, not that there is anything bad about it, it's simply not a 5 star property. Enjoy!…
We were greeted so warmly when we arrived. My daughter and I were celebrating, and the Courtyard by Marriott really took care of us! We loved sitting on our balcony at sunset with a glass of wine listening to music. In the morning, we had breakfast in their restaurant and ate outside in the sunshine; best açaí bowl ever! Free parking and easy walking everywhere. Besides the must-see tourist spots, don’t forget about hiking the beautiful state parks and walking / swimming the beach of Lake Michigan. Highly recommend staying at Courtyard by Marriott to anyone visiting Holland or nearby!
We visited Holland to see the tulips the week after the tulip festival. The flowers were still lovely but the town/ tourist attractions were not busy at all. The Courtyard Marriott is the best place stay in town. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had nice outdoor seating options with a fire pit. Hotel management took extra good care of us and made our stay that much better! The location is right downtown and there is free parking in the back of the hotel. Would recommend.
We visited Holland during the Tulip Time festival. The Courtyard Holland Downtown is super clean, followed all covid regulations, and is perfectly located in the center of lots of restaurants and boutiques. Very walkable location to many of the festival’s locations too. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel was clean and follows all the standard Covid operations. I’d recommend a room with a balcony so you can overlook downtown and relax out there at night. We had a room with a couch that made for a great stop between downtown exploring. Rooms are very updated and modern decor. Location makes it easy to walk to a ton of great visitor attractions and restaurants. Downstairs has a bar/ cafe with great breakfast items and perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or nightcap. Outside has a cute fire sitting area to relax at. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub, but it looked enjoyable and the exercise room looked very clean and updated.
