I stayed for two nights at the Lake Ranch Resort with my sister, niece & nephew. We LOVED it. Bill is wonderful and so helpful at check in. Our room was very clean with a queen size bed, sleeper sofa, microwave, refrigerator and sink. Both nights we walked to the general store for ice cream and then to Holland State Park to watch the sunset on Lake Michigan. Great hotel. Great area.

What a great spot to get away. Why would you wanna stay in a hotel if you can have the experience right at the water. Made it for a very relaxing 3 day holiday. Absolutely recommended, loved #21. Sandbox and play area right beside you, while we sat in a muskoka chair and took in the view, kids were playing right beside you. Can't say enough about it how much we loved it!

Pleasant staff, very clean room and a short walk to the beach - what more could you want? A view of Lake Macatawa, restaurants and sites nearby, a comfy bed and good shower pressure, too! We were in Unit 21 and I would stay in that one again, but wish there would have been a small table and chairs in the room. Truly a pleasurable overnight stay.

The manager Bill is amazing. He is the "go to guy" for any questions, concerns, assistance. We needed a one night get away and found this to be the ideal spot. Off the main drag, locally owned and operated, quaint, charming, clean. The guests were quiet and it was very nice to stroll along the docks at night. The rooms are a bit on the small side, bathrooms too, but I believe this facility was built in the 50's and suited our needs. We will definitely return again - just to take a break!

We have been coming to Lake Ranch for years. It is the perfect location as it is a 10 minute walk to the beach & across the street from Mt. Pisgah & Holland State Park camp grounds. Being on the water is peaceful and many places to tuck yourself away to enjoy a good book or meal. Pool is a great photo op as there are windows to take under water photos. Grassy area for children to play along with shuffle board & volleyball. Walk to the General Store open seasonally to get all of your treats & ice cream fix. It is a treasure that has been part of our family memory book for years!

First, let me echo, Bill, the onsite manager and his staff are great. But, not the tiny peripheral rooms. The mold smell assaults you as you enter. The street noise feels inches from your door. Room 12, perhaps the smallest, is nicely furnished and has newer beds, bedding, and pillows. Room 3, fitting two full beds, rather than one, has not seen updates. Avoid this one. Most irritating, however, were the guests, during our stay. Some are homeowners or their friends, who do not hesitate to take your pool chairs while you slip inside for a drink, or crowd coolers and canvas bags of snacks around their lounge chairs surrounding the edges of the pool so others cannot even climb around them to enter the pool.they are gratingly loud, whether yelling to kids, friends, or spouses, they…

The Lake Ranch Resort is a former motel that is now converted to vacation condos. I'm not sure if some of the units are privately owned, or long-term lease. I'm also not sure whether the units we rented are "sub lets" or are owned by the proprietor. Regardless, the other guests were friendly and considerate and it was quiet at night. The owner Bill was always considerate and helpful, staying on late to check us in after our gruelling 900-mile drive from the East Coast. We rented two rooms - one a basic room and the other a mini efficiency. The rooms are small with low ceilings, so I would not like to spend more than a week in one of the smaller rooms. Loved the AC, it was QUIET and effective - not like the noisy AC units in all the other hotels in which we stayed on this…

We stayed in unit 33. It has one bedroom (a queen or full bed and a bunk bed). The place was quiet and beautiful. It's right on water. There are several BBQ equipment by the lake and the kitchenette has everything we need for BBQ. The court yard is a great place for my son to play. The manager was very nice and helpful. The place is walking distance to the state park. The room itsself was a lot cleaner than in the picture. It definitely exceed my expectation. Before I went, I read some reviews about the heater not working well. It was a cold fall night when we stayed. But the heater worked fine. The room was very very warm.

Stayed in Unit 4. Cute and clean. Booking without seeing is sometimes frustrating. Not this time! It was much more then I even pictured. Wish our stay was more than one night. Bill was very helpful. Great suggestions for dinner. The grounds are very well kept. Only negative is each unit has chairs in front. Our neighbors were early risers and loud talkers. Would definitely go back!

My hubby and I stayed in Unit 16 for two nights. A quaint room that was nothing fancy but I booked it because it seemed to be a perfect location for us. And, it definitely was! Beautiful and peaceful Lake Macatawa just steps out our door. Paved bike trail right out front ... only a few minutes ride to Lake Michigan and Big Red Lighthouse, a couple of miles ride along the lovely Lakeshore Drive (connector path) to Tunnel Park and just walk across the street to climb to the top of Mt. Pisgah with awesome views of both Lake Macatawa and Lake Michigan. We didn't use the pool or other amenities but everything looked well-maintained. Mr. Grimes (Bill) was very helpful in providing us with dining suggestions ... don't miss the Itty Bitty Bar for an incredible burger or Deboer's for…
