We arrived late at night at Old Skipper after traveling the inside passage from Rupert to Port Hardy. The B&B is located in Coal Harbour, 20 km from P.Hardy. Our hosts were waiting up and welcomed us. After a good night of sleep a delicious breakfast was ready. Albeit a little off track this nautical B&B is worthwile visiting.

We had a marvelous stay at Darlene and Gunner's B&B. We were graciously welcomed in and shown around. Darlene made us some fresh coffee while sat and chatted. Soon Gunner was back after guiding a wonderful group of retired men on a fishing expedition. Thankfully for us they were more than happy to extend their catch with us so we...

The rooms were warm & cozy; with several beds for all of us. The full breakfast was hearty with good conversation with the hosts. The fishing in Quatsino Sound was very exciting. Although adverse weather conditions (gale force wind advisory) prevented our travel to & overnight stay in Winter Harbour, we were able to troll for salmon, jig for cod,...

This is an excellent B&B for the off-season visitor. It's a very quiet location (small, one-street town, well off the highway). The room we rented for the evening is has a private access, two large beds, and a fully-equipped kitchen. We used the shared bathroom, but since we were the only ones there, it didn't matter.
