This was my 3rd trip to Ireland. I have stayed at Lawcus Farms every time, each stay increasing how many nights I stayed there. AnnMarie and Mark are so welcoming and kind, they feel more like family we are visiting. Their property is beautiful, spacious, and relaxing, and the rooms are plenty big and quiet. I cannot wait to come back!
As said by a multitude of other users here, Mark and Ann Marie are absolutely fantastic, and Lawcus guest house will 100% be my recommendation to anyone traveling to Ireland. They treat you like family and the guest house and property is very comfortable and accommodating. Way better than any hotel could offer!
Lawcus Farms is among the top 5 places we’re have stayed in the 20+ years of our world travels. The food was great and the accommodations superb. However what made it extra memorable was the attention and care Mark and Ann-Marie lavished upon us. We felt as if we were family or good friends staying with them on their country farm. I believe this feeling is the norm of people staying with them.
We loved our night at the farm. There are simply not enough positive adjectives to describe the hospitality. AnnMarie & Mark are fantastic hosts. Our visit was our first night of an amazing trip and we both wish we would have stayed a few nights! We will be back!
On a recent trip around Ireland with my two daughters, we stayed at the Lawcus Farm Guesthouse one night when heading for Dublin and home. What a mistake as we should have stayed for two or three nights with our superb Hosts, Mark and Anne-Marie. Mark met us on arrival with his parrot Tuco. We were booked in the "Overlook Suite", with first floor Beds & Bathroom for the girls and an upstairs roomy double Bed for me with a second full Bath. I should add that the first floor also contained a full Kitchenette for guests who might like to cook a full meal themselves; and direct access to sit/enjoy views of the property on an outside connected deck. We had dinner in nearby Kilkenny and realized that the Guesthouse would be a great base to spend several days visiting Ireland between Kilarney, the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, the famed Rock of Cashel and other historical sites. My daughters are already planning our next Ireland visit to include the Lawcus Fram Guesthouse. I just realized that I failed to describe the outstanding Breakfast prepared by Anne-Marie for us. She even added my favorite (French Toast) to a tasty Irish Breakfast.…
If you ever had a hankering to join Peter Pan and the Lost Boys, or become an aeronaut, or live on your own private island, Mark and Anne-Marie have just the place to indulge your fantasy. The Tree House at Lawcus Farm is a self-contained tiny home with just enough seclusion while also tidily providing every necessity, from the wee kitchen fitted with microwave and coffeemaker to the full bathroom with shower. There's even storage for your luggage. At night you can watch the bats flit among the stars from your own balcony, and in the morning return to the main house for a breakfast prepared to your every preference by Anne-Marie, who will snip the chives for your omelette from just outside the door. Although the description cautions guests to beware of the distance to convey bags, if you just pop one day's supply in a backpack you'll have lots of space in the Tree House, and it really isn't very far. Mark has provided thoughtful lights along the path which guests can control from the Tree House. In short, the Tree House is a wonderful choice for the young, who may especially enjoy the whimsy of its design, and old, who will appreciate the comfort of the excellent mattress.…
Spent two lovely days at Lawcus Farm Guesthouse in Kilkenny. Myself and Amanda had been working at a rally in the summer and spent a night here. It was so lovely we didn't want to leave. So when the chance arose to come back we jumped at it. Anne-Marie and Mark are such fantastic hosts. They made our stay so relaxing and welcomed us into their own home for a tour which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone should visit Lawcus Farm. They have horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, an owl and a parrot. All very friendly :) The scenery is fabulous. There is a tree house that you could book and we were given permission to look wherever we wanted so we took a walk down to it. The tree house is compact but has a bath room with a shower and a small kitchen area. A double bed and a balcony to look out on. Gorgeous views too. We stayed in a family room that had everything we needed. An ensuite and main bathroom both with showers. The only thing that isn't there is a TV which to be honest is a nice change. Anne-Marie's breakfast is delicious. Freshly made porridge, fruit from their trees, never ending coffee (my favourite) all the condiments you could need and an amazing hot breakfast. Their hosting is second to none and they treat you like friends. We will be back again and again. Anne-Marie and Mark, we appreciate how welcome you have both made us feel. We have left Lawcus Farm relaxed and recharged and can't wait to see ye again. You truly have created a beautiful gem ❤️…
You really can believe all the good things you read about Lawcus Farm. The location and buildings are magical. You feel a bit like you have gone back in time as soon as you arrive. Ann Marie and Mark are welcoming hosts with lots a great stories. Their love of their home is obvious, everywhere you look there are beautiful and thoughtful touches. If you are lucky enough to get to tour of their main house, enjoy! Its absolutely amazing and beautiful. We didn’t have enough time at this magical place and hope to return to visit AnnMarie, Mark, Daisy, Bruce and of course, Toku.
Lawcus farm is really something special. Our family stayed here for two nights and wished we could have stayed a week. The grounds are peaceful and well cared for. We had fun visiting and feeding the animals, all of whom are well cared for. The room we had was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was amazing. The hosts are warm and friendly. We stayed with our 7 yr old daughter and it was very kid friendly - from the farm animals to Anne Marie putting out kids yogurt in the morning (very thoughtful). A few things to note: a car is a must, to get there and be able to explore the area. This is a guesthouse and not a hotel, so don't expect large bathrooms or TVs. But, if you're looking for a place where you feel like a friend of the family, book a stay at Lawcus farm. We hope to return soon!…
Lawcus Farm is the place to go when you re in Ireland. The hosts are wonderful. The food is excellent. The place and what surrounds it and what is there is beyond words. I felt at home. I was rested and looked forward to see what was going to happen each day. There was always something new to learn and explore.
