The English Inn is a step back in history. It is a beautiful old home with remarkable grounds located along the Grand River. A perfect place for weddings or a quiet overnight stay. The rooms are period decorated and each has a separate design. They are clean and perfectly furnished. The staff is welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast was amazing....

We went for one overnight. The grounds are lovely along a river. Our cabin could not have been better. Hot tub, gas fireplace and a comfortable king size bed. There was also a small deck which we did not use since it was a very cold day. We had both lunch and dinner and I would give the food and...

This historic mansion is the ultimate bed and breakfast. The restaurant serves the absolute best prime rib you will ever taste. The original house was built by the President of Oldsmobile Division of GM in 1927 .I am a member of the Oldsmobile Club so it is of special interest to me. Rooms are available in the main house which...

My husband and I stayed in the Windsor. It was very relaxing. the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend! We ate dinner in the restaurant which was exceptional! A coffee basket delivered to the room in the morning was nice and then breakfast was delicious!! If you leave the breakfast table hungry , it's your...

There are simply not enough words to express how wonderful this place is. The rooms are all unique, we stayed in he Windsor Suite, which was the master bedroom for the original owners, the only one with a fireplace. Housekeeping is amazing and the rooms, dining rooms, lobby etc., are all impeccably maintained. The dining experience is to die for....

For a girls get away a couple of us stayed last year in the actual inn. This year a few of us returned and stayed in one of the out cottages. It was awesome! The bath was huge (with glass french doors so don't stay with someone you don't like - although the toilet part is tucked away), an amazing...

We dined at the restaurant last evening to celebrate a special occasion. Both of us thought at first that this would be an excellent place to return to for future special events. The atmosphere did not make up for the food sadly. The french onion soup was sharp tasting, nearly like that of worcestershire sauce. The prime rib (ordered to...

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and concerns. I am terribly sorry that we were not able to correct your meal while you joined us. We take great pride in the quality of the food that we serve and I do apologize that we did not hit our mark with you and your partner. We would love to...

We started with the cheese plate, jumbo shrimp and figs. The cheese plate was good, the crackers could have been better as they were butterfly crackers or ones you just find at any old supermarket. The 'jumbo' shrimp were small and definitely not worth the $12. I could have gone to Kroger and got the same ones. The dinner rolls...

The elegance of the early 1900's has not been lost at this out of the way mansion. While we didn't stay overnight the rooms are mostly original decor and well preserved. I had to smile because this is exactly the kind of intimate place I looked for to take my wife before we were married. Grounds are large enough for...

My wife and I decided to stay at the English Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we stayed in the IVY Cottage...very quite and private with fantastic views. The room was recently redone and is quite cozy. However with the beautiful venue the dinner that evening was lacking. Both my wife and I ordered the prime rib dinner. Both dinner...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Occasionally, when you may least expect it, you come across a spot in the world where time seems to have stood still, where graciousness of spirit and personal attention to detail still thrive, where the hustle and bustle of the modern world are shut and the lingering taste of a good Burgundy on your palate is all that matters. The English Inn is just such a place. ... more   less
