This hotel is a solid choice for a place to stay near downtown Detroit. Rooms are nice and comfy. We stayed here because its close to Joe Louis area ( 5mins walk ). Staff were very nice and helpful. Only slight downside was that the restaurant was still under construction but that's not the hotels fault. I'm sure once all...

Hello tangawang, The only thing we love more than our city is knowing that we've exceeded a guest's expectations! If you're looking for a great location, you found it at Trumbull & Porter; the Joe Louis area is one of our favorite stomping grounds. We don't like to brag, but since you mentioned it, our Red Dunn Kitchen (coming soon!)...

We stayed here foe a concert at Joe Lewis Arena.Just found it online, the price seemed good and I thought it was free gated parking part of why I booked it,but it was $10 more.Mot a big deal but when you think you saw it on their site for free ! But it was decent and clean they have a neat...

Hello Tim, We're happy to share that the Red Dunn Kitchen will soon be a (fabulous!) addition to our hotel. A casual restaurant with both indoor and outdoor courtyard seating, it's the perfect place to enjoy America cuisine with a twist. We hope you'll join us again soon so you can try it yourself! Thanks for bringing our attention to...

The building will be a nice one, when construction is done. Until then, I can't recommend this hotel. There were many problems. The walls ate incredibly thin. I could hear the couple next door talking to each other as clearly as if they were sitting in my room until late at night. Two of three stairwells are closed for construction,...

Hello Jason, Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We're very sorry for the issues you encountered and are sharing this with our team right away. Please know this is not the usual Trumbull and Porter experience, and we truly apologize for the inconveniences. You're right; every hotel stay should be seamless, and we're working as quickly...

A nice looking boutique hotel, but I found is a bit guilty of "the triumph of form over function". The rooms are pleasant enough. When I visited there was a strong smell of paint, which in a way is a good sign that the rooms were being made over. But the paint spots and drags over the cement flooring indicated...

Very cool, modern hotel! My associates and I stay in hotels at least three nights each week. It's always refreshing to stay in ones that break the mold. Trumbull and Porter is conveniently located right downtown near the river. Each room features nice bathrooms, quality beds, and artwork that's mildly interesting compared to most hotels. Nice fitness center and the...

Fantastic hotel, found almost by accident. Loved the modern feel of the hotel, so different to standardised settings found in most hotels.Hotel staff were extremely friendly to a lone traveller from the UK in town for Titans-Lions NFL game. Gave me lots of pointers for places to visit and eat.

Booked here based on reviews, price and proximity to Joe Louis Arena. We came up for a Red Wings game...one of the last at The Joe...and really liked that the hotel was within a mile of the arena and just over a mile to Comerica Park and Ford Field. This would be a great place for anyone attending a game...

Trumbull and Porter tries to punch above its weight—but fails. I liked that the owners invested in creating a boutique-ish ambience inspired by Ace hotels and their ilk: industrial chic meets mid-century furniture meets minimalism. By and large it worked for me, and I enjoyed the place. I was also happy with their friendly and helpful staff (shout-out to John)...

The Trumbull & Porter is a must stay in Detroit for a variety of reasons. The hotel offers gated parking which is always provides a little bit extra peace of mind. It was a late night check-in, but you would have thought it was two o'clock in the afternoon based on how quick and on the ball the guy behind...
