Decided at the last minute to book this hotel to catch Orioles vs Tigers ALDS game. Have never been to Detroit before and sorry to say we'll probably never return. Not too much to do and the city itself is pretty depressing. But this hotel has nothing to apologize for. Great location for all of the sport venues and the... More

Hotel is a little dated but rooms are clean and the staff is great. Good place to stay and go to the games. Short walk to Ford Field and Comerica Park. Would stay here again if back in town. Restaurants are in walking distance. Casino is in walking distance. m

We stayed here as part of a group for an event downtown. Detroit surprised us all as the downtown has the potential to make a very quick turnaround, as all I've ever heard has been negative. This hotel is a great downtown choice as it is well situated being only 1 block from the downtown people mover and the property... More

I was in town for a Tigers game and on that basis this Holiday Inn Was a good choice, an older building my room was clean and well kept with a good bathroom, modern facilities etc. The... More

As other reviewers have noted, this is an older property; the building is from the 1960's. However, to me this was an advantage rather than a disadvantage. I found the building to be solidly constructed, without the flimsy, paper-thin walls so often found in newer properties. To me, it was a bit of a nostalgic trip to the past, when... More

First let me say that I really like this place. I've stayed here several times and, as always, the staff were outstanding. But this time the room I was given, 1122, was in need of some attention. The walls were beat up (and had been patched multiple times) and a nightstand drawer was so worn out it would not stay... More

Very very dull and colorless place. Rooms painted in some dirtyellow nuance and all decoration lacking of style.
