Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A comfortably intimate hotel where we felt well attended to. The staff were friendly and paid close attention to our needs. I'm a light sleeper, and I slept well, which says a lot for a hotel, believe me. We'll stay at the Siren again.

The hotel is gorgeous, staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are simple, but stylish. Our heat didn't work in our room and when told maintenance would come check it out, they instead had left for the evening. We were offered a room change or space heater. We opted for the room change and were put into an accessible room. I am not disabled, but my son is, and had he been travelling with me or an adult travelling on his own, this room would not have been suitable. The cost of the hotel overnight on a weekend night puts it well above value. I'd visit for their bar and cafe/diner again in the future, but I don't think I would stay overnight again unless some changes were made. In addition, the rooms are small and there is a huge tv on the wall right next to the bed and the blue standby light kept me awake. I'm not one to complain about stays, but for the cost of the hotel, these hiccups should have been avoided.

Cool, hip, boutique hotel. Excellent location. My average review is due to the fact that I reserved a Chamber room and was made to stay in a Studio room. Front desk was not able to remedy the situation.

Really cool boutique hotel in the heart of Detroit. A truly unique experience with a friendly and helpful staff. The in-hotel Candy Bar is a must do. The rooms are quaint but are wonderfully decorated. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem. It is convenient and has everything you need. Bar, restaurant, parking. Highly recommend the pork belly if visiting The Ash bar and restaurant. Just a nice quiet, quant place. Will definitely stay again.

I had very high expectations for this hotel. Initially it was very cute and swanky. But for a $400+ night stay it did not seem worth it. There was food under the couch and chairs from previous guests. The couch had weird stains. The smell was very musty. I also did not see a spiral staircase leading to the bed upstairs advertised. There was no bathroom upstairs, so it was very dangerous going downstairs at night. If I had known, I’d never have booked that room. We had The heat set at 68-70, but for some reason it got up to 80-82 at night. I also wish there was a coffee maker or microwave in the room. I’d stay again possibly in a different room if it was more affordable. 5/10 for stay. Visually though it was gorgeous in the lobby and staff was very accommodating.

Wonderful old time hotel, with excellent rooms, an amazing "cocktail " bar and impeccable service. Where else can you get an amazing cup of coffee, delicious ginger lemon skone and a bottle of champagne all at 9am!

The hotel is immaculate-- clean and very well maintained. We had an excellent experience from check in until we left. The room was on the smaller size, but had space for our luggage and enough room to move around. The bathroom was spacious though, with a large shower. We were on the 11th floor so it was quiet without street traffic noise. Comfortable bed and the towels and bathrobes were really soft.

Small rooms for price. It was a lot of money for the tiny room. No place to put my toiletries. Hook falling off the wall. Poor lighting. Bar was small. Good location and ambiance and staff. Dark hallways.

Very expensive room that are about 12 x 12 ., there was literally no room to move about with only 1 1/2 feet of sppace around bed that sits basically on the ground. Booked a queen suite and was placed in a queen studio...no less expensive for 1/4 the room space. Heating doesn't work and we were given a space heater and told..it's an old hotel...for $ 350/night i expect a heated room in February and valet of $60/ day is high considering sign out front says $42/day and then add on tip and this $500 experience was not worth it
