Definitely did not represent the brand from an aesthetic perspective but we had a great stay overall. Cleanliness and upkeep was a problem evident in all areas of the property. I am sick today I am sure from the very cool temp in pool area with evident air leaks. The property was secure, the staff very attentive special kudos to...

Dear Pkmccants, Thank you to you and your family for staying with us over the Thanksgiving weekend. As you mention, our location is premier for accessing all that downtown area has to offer. I’m sorry to hear that you caught a breeze in our swimming pool area. I walked the pool deck after receiving your review and noticed a damaged...

Given the Detroit International Marathon I'd expected a bit of chaos only to be met with none. The location was perfect. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady at the front desk who serviced me. I asked for a nice room with a view (if available) and she came thru wonderfully. The view from my window...

Dear CF, Thank you for recognizing our hotel’s organization during an annual event as popular as the Free Press Marathon. We have become pretty good at anticipating the runners and their family’s needs over many years of accommodating participants and fans. Of course you don’t have to run a marathon to receive this special treatment, so we hope to see...

We stayed in the hotel from Thursday night until Sunday morning, and the staff were nothing but accommodating and polite! There was one employee in particular that helped us out so much when we were checking out during the rush, and even with our checkout at noon, with his help, all of our stuff was in bagge check-in and in...

Dear Sydney, Thank you for the feedback concerning your satisfaction with the level of service we provided. We anticipate heavy departures in valet, especially on Sunday mornings, and were glad to hear we met your needs. I will pass along your compliment to Jamal specifically and make sure he is recognized at our next associate rally. Sincerely, Jon C –...

The only positive thing about this hotel is the great view. They are overpriced compared to the surrounding hotels. Their dine in restaurant is what sent me over to write this review. Not only was the food terrible but my friend found a dead bug in his soda and I found hair in my sandwhich. Please if you value your...

This was a very comfortable stay for a long 10-day meeting. There is ample space to move around the room, a decent closet, and large and comfortable bathroom. The breakfast is good, although I usually saved money and bought snacks (yogurt, cheese, granola bars, bananas) at the convenience/liquor store downstairs just outside the hotel. The hotel is easy walking distance...

I apologize for the inconvenience we caused and glad to hear the Marriott Rewards points were appreciated. Sincerely, Jon C – General Manager

Wow! I haven't been in a downtown hotel room this big in years! Really appreciated the large bathroom with extra-long counter. We stayed in a queen double and had tons of room to spread out. Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. I would definitely stay again.

Pretty catchy, huh? Originally from the area we stay at a variety of places when we are in Detroit and we've always had a good experience at the Courtyard. Right across from the GM Headquarters, Hart Plaza, Riverwalk and a simple hop onto the People Mover makes it a very short trip to Greektown, Comerica Park/Ford Field, etc. Staff was...

And don’t forget the short drive to the “Motown Museum” in your catchy review. As you noted, we have a great location for downtown walking activity, as well as short taxi trips to the many museums and theaters. We look forward to welcoming you back home again soon! My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for about two months, so we got quite familiar with how things operate there. Case in point, there's a huge issue with housekeeping. Until...
