We did not stay at the B and B, but stopped by to ski the cross country trails. They were lovely and went through hemlock and white pine forests. They had a very nice flow to them. We saw grouse and white tailed deer while skiing. The lodge is a lovely log home style and appeared very nice. They owner...

I loved this inn. The owner built it herself. She is warm and lovely to talk with. I wish I visited this area more just to stay here. The breakfast was delicious and everyone here is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and would be romantic with the right company.

I read all the reviews, mostly good. If you're looking to party out late in the night, this place is not for you. I don't think that there's lots of late carousing in Crystal Falls. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and modern. Rooms upstairs are more modern than the one's on the lowest level. Carol and Les are friendly and,...

I just enjoyed a few days with Carol and Les at the Listening Inn, In the U.P. of Michigan. The room was clean and had its own shower. The bed was just right, not too soft and not too firm. There was a small microwave , a sink, table and refrig located in my room. Everything worked. The breakfasts were...

Carol and Les taught my 15 year olds more in 24 hours than they learned all school year. We saw a professional bird hunt (safely from the front steps); we watched a quail hatch in a cage, we played with bird training puppies; Les and Carol walked us about the entire property telling a story about each deer head, bear...

Carol and Les are helpful, friendly hosts who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Breakfasts include fruit, homemade bakery and Carol's morning dish. We were there in July with our adult children and returned mid- fall on our own. We hiked, fished on local waters, and enjoyed the beauty and quiet of their immaculately kept properties....

If you are in the UP, this is a terrific place to stay. We were on our way from Minnesota driving across the UP back to Holland and wanted something different than the usual chain hotels. We had never been to the Crystal Falls area, but this was a true find. Amazing accommodations in the country on a beautiful piece...

We found the Listening Inn by accident - we were traveling from Wisconsin on our way to the Kewana Peninsula and needed a place to stay in the area. The Listening Inn was the first place we called, not knowing much about it, and we booked a room with a hot tub. We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful...

We can't stay enough about our stay. Les and Carol are gracious and friendly hosts, and being English Setter owners, we also enjoyed meeting their two friendly setters, Molly and Rio. Breakfast was delicious. If you are passing through or looking for a relaxing place to stay it is a great choice. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Had no idea what to expect...but, what a Wonderful Surprise! Was working in the area and was SO pleased to be in such a beautiful place, especially for a whole week! Carol and Les are very gracious hostess/host (and succeeded in getting the "SuperBowl" to come on!) The breakfasts were so incredible every morning - homemade and delicious. We were...
