We stayed two nights in a cabin built in the 1930's and wonderfully updated and maintained. Played golf on a challenging 9 hole course. The trees cut down to make the golf course were used to build the cabins. Very picturesque grounds in early October.

I have wanted to stay at the Lodge for years and finally talked my husband into a night in one of cabins. I loved it ! The cabins are old and dated. They are not fancy. But.....they leave you wood for the fireplace (very romantic). The cabin was clean. The bathroom was old, but again clean with beautiful fluffy towels.... More

The KML, along with it's main lodge and cabins, was built in 1934-1935. It still has a great deal of charm. Rustic? Yes! Cozy? Yes! Friendly? Yes! Scenic setting? Yup! Challenging golf course? A great track!! A sensational restaurant? You bet!!! Reasonably priced, as well. Don't miss it when you're at the tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Beautiful scenery and a truly magnificent area. Booked the cabin easily by phone and arrived around 4:00. It was a birthday present for my husband but when we arrived at the cabin the first thing I noticed was the STRONG creosote smell from the fireplace. It is VERY dated and as I walked into the bedroom found it hadn't been... More

I've stayed here a number of times over the years. Just got back from a 4 night stay and was very pleased. Had a 1 bedroom cabin w/ a beautiful native stone fireplace. The staff is friendly, professional and responsive...need more wood for the fire? Just call the office and it will be delivered quickly and with a smile. To... More

My family and I (my parents, sister and her kids) came up to Copper Harbor as part of our yearly trip to the UP. We are from the thumb of Michigan. We booked our cabin while eating in Calumet, and they had vacancy. The receptionist was very friendly and very accommodating. She asked for a credit card to hold the... More

Cabins were much more dated and worn than website shows. Not the cleanest place I've stayed...musty smell, dirty baseboards, holes in the wall, hairs in the bathroom. False advertising...no free breakfast and none even to purchase. Had to drive back into town for everything. However it was in a very pretty setting and location.

My husband and I were spending the night in Cooper Harbor and were driving up to the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. We drove pass the golf course and my husband immediately slammed on the brakes, turned in and said it was too pretty of a day to not play some golf. I am not a golfer myself, but he... More

Our boat from Isle Royale was three hours late, too late to drive home, so we stopped at this Lodge. The office was already closed (10:30) but they saw us drive in, along with another carful, and went the extra mile to take care of us. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and super comfy. The grounds are beautiful,... More

Built in the mid 1930's, the individual cabins are truly rustic, but clean and airy. Our check in was delayed but offset by a free cocktail at the bar. Yes - there are no kitchen amenities - no fridge, no microwave and the only sink is in the bathroom, but since we were only staying one night, it wasn't an... More
