Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Kathleen is a lovely hostess.

The premises is spotlessly clean and Kathleen has adapted the B&B to meet all Covid19 safety regulations.

Kathleen ensured we started what was a very long day with a great breakfast and enough to keep us going all through.

This is a great location for visiting the sunny south east and Kathleen epitomises the hospitality associated with an Irish B&B.

Glenhill B&B (Barntown) Wexford was everything I imagined an Irish country B&B experience to be. Our host Kathleen was welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble. She even asked how we would like our poached eggs to be cooked. Glenhill is exceptionally clean and well presented. The beds (one queen and one single) were very comfortable. It's about a 10 min drive from Wexford town and there is a hotel (for meals) about 5 mins at the next round about. The only thing I would say is that it may be difficult without a car. I am not planning on returning to Wexford in the near future but if I was to I stay there again and would certainly give this place the thumbs up for anyone considering staying in the Wexford area. Thank you Kathleen.

About 20 minutes from the ferry - as you turn left the B&B is on the right side of the road. Unfortunately we missed it - stopped at a Londis and the gentlemen inside knew the B&B and gave us good directions. Our room was upstairs - there was a double bed and two singles in the room. A couple of nice armchairs and also a table with two chairs and tea & coffee making facilities. Fresh milk was available in the the fridge downstairs. It was raining when we arrived and as I had difficulty walking because of a foot op that I couldn't get wet, we decided to eat the sandwich we had left over from lunch. The lady did offer to make us toast which I thought was very kind. Bed was comfy and the shower was hot. Breakfast was ok.

On a motorbike trip of Ireland and myself and my brother chose to stay here after our trip to Dublin and whilst navigating the South East of Ireland.

Although the room was a little tight for us and our motorbike kit, it was more than made up for by the hospitality of Kathleen. It was like staying at our Granny’s house the fuss she made of us.

A 15 minute walk down the road to a hotel with bar and dining meant we could watch the football which was a bonus and we got our steps in.

Breakfast was excellent and we especially liked the bacon and sausages.

All in all a great stay at a great price. Don’t forget cash though as no card machine present.

Nice B&B with enough parking space and very close to the heritage park. We had a clean room with a hair dryer. The breakfast: good selection, the host served the Irish breakfast, the rest was there to choose. Also not very far is the Johnstown castle, worth the visit.

Stayed one night, and would stay again without hesitation.
A beautiful accomodation in a lovely quiet but convenient area to Wexford town.
Clean, cosy, homely, and most of all, a lovely, kind lady who runs the place.
She couldn't do anymore to make us feel at home.
A wonderful varied breakfast.
Great value for money
Thankyou so much for your kindness

Glenhill bnb was the perfect place to crash after a long trip on the ferry to Rosslare. We got a lovely welcome with warm tea and biscuits. Felt so very welcome. The room was very clean, spacious, had a great shower and the next morning we enjoyed a complete and very fresh Irish breakfast. Kitty is a fantastic hostess. Highly recommended!

We stayed here one night in July when exploring Ireland with our son and daughter and arriving by ferry in Rosslare. Ideal place to start the trip. Kathleen is a very friendly lady. Lovely rooms - well equipped - comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast, more than enough. We highly recommend it.

This is a lovely hotel run by a very friendly couple. Our ensuite room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent value for money - 75 euros per night, which included a great cooked breakfast. (There is also a continental style buffet if you don't want a fry-up) The hotel does not serve evening meals but Wexford town centre is only a few minutes' drive away. The B&B has plenty of free onsite parking.

"We had a different room each of the 2 nights, one at the back on the ground floor and one up a little flight of stairs at the front the second. Hardly any traffic noise at the front with double glazing. The only noise we heard down and up was creaking floor boards but hey?!"
