This is an above average hotel. All staff made us feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean, quiet and well located. The bakery adjoining the hotel is a great convenience and food quality in the Rugby Grill is very good.

TV control did not work very good in bedroom. Volume could not be controlled. Drain in sink in bathroom was partially clogged. Both problems were taken care of when I reported these problems to the front desk.

This hotel is lovely. The check in was immediate and the hotel property is very charming. The entire staff was friendly and very accommodating. I had a flat tire the evening I checked in and I needed to replace it the next morning. I called the front desk and asked if the bellman could get me the tire numbers so...

The best hotel in town offered an outstanding rate for rooms which were eligible for an upgrade to a suite, pending availability. I received an upgrade and Ithe room, view and service was impeccable. I had a lovely retreat with friends.

The Townsend is a great hotel. Friendly and First-class! The rooms are clean and comfy, the staff is friendly, and the Rugby Grill is great for a late night drink and dessert. And there are lots of good shopping and restaurants to walk to.

Not on par with the better hotels, yet they price themselves in that category! Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Room security was suspect. Room door was left ajar twice all day by staff after cleaning or turndown service.
