Every time I come to Big Bay I eat here. First I always order is a bowl of chili that is perfect. Always was served in timely matter, food was well coked and hot. Decent restaurant. Never had a chance to stay in but the time will come. As far as the restaurant - the food is good, bathroom might...

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Thunder Bay Inn! We stayed for three nights while visiting family in the area. The rates are unbeatable! Our room was just so comfortable! It was very quiet...never heard a thing! We loved the lounge area, with a fireplace and a piano. Even a tv if you want to watch movies....

We stayed at the Inn on black Friday ....enjoyed the cozy bar with the fireplace roaring, oh and bring an armload of wood on the way in. Had the cudighi burger and beer battered fish which we enjoyed. these entrees were served with fries which were very good. The room was sparse but but very quiet and the company was...

The lodging was comfortable, but decorated in a spartan way. Not alot of furnature or frills. But when only a comfortable bed, clean surroundings are required, it more than fit the bill. The pub portion of the inn was decorated in north-woods style, with knotty pine wall panels, fish mounts, and photos. The food was excellent. I ordered the soup...

Having called ahead to find out what the "soup of the day" was, and having traveled 85 miles to this restaraunt, we were disappointed to find they did not have the soup. Still, we stayed and ordered fish fry dinner. The waitress was extremely slow, service was terrible and the food nothing to write home about. No one, including the...

Have you ever wished to find a really cool, cozy, comfortable bar to while away a wintry or stormy afternoon? This is the place. What a surprise, and utter delight, to discover this place for my first visit this past weekend. I stopped in with my business partner and realtor while in the area to look at land deals. The...

Over the years we have always enjoyed going to the Thunder Bay Inn for dinner - especially for the fish on Friday. We took friends on Friday during Labor Day weekend - no fish available! The recent owners changed the menu and quite frankly it's disappointing. What's up with all the Mexican dishes? Be original, make it local . ....

We enjoyed this old Inn that is being refreshed gradually. The owners are running the Pub and Inn and have a fine restaurant going and are updating the inn portion. This is a place to sit on the porch and visit and go down to the public beautiful beach on Lake Superior. Biking or hiking and enjoying the UP are...

We did not stay at this hotel, but wish we had. We did eat at the restaurant three times as it's the only place to eat in Big Bay unless you want bar food. The burgers or taco options are best here; the salads are also fresh, but come with packaged dressings. The pizza dough is not doughy but hard,...

We didn't stay at the inn (but it is really cute and I would love to some time). However, we did eat at the restaurant and the food was great. The dining area is casual and just plain fun atmosphere. Had photo wall of Jimmy Stewart movie filmed there which was interesting. Would definitely eat there again if ever in...
