Mom and Pop motel! A pleasure to stay in a very clean motel that is not a large chain motel. Personal service, staff is very knowledgeable about local outdoor activities and willing to help with directions! Outdoor pool is very clean with lap lanes. Outdoor seating areas with grills and flowers. Close enough to Traverse City for day trips, far...

I have no complaints. Stayed here in august 2013. The room was clean and cozy. There was no shampoo, but when I asked at the front desk, the owner gave me some small samples to use. The pool was clean and inviting. The morning coffee was a short walk from our room. The hotel was about a ten minute drive...

A group of 8 of us attended a wedding at crystal mountain and with the color tour in full blast this was our last choice for a motel for the night. If we would have only known I would have driven the 3 hours home and saved my $60.... Well 66.60 with tax.. Right from the moment four of us...

Spent the night here as our first night around Lake Michigan. Would stay again. Our visit was quiet and comfortable, no frills. You may need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner, as there was none in our room. Ice and coffee are a short walk to the office.

We stopped at this place returning from the Labor Day Bridge Walk in Mackinaw City. Since the holiday was 2 days past, we figured we could find a decent off season rate like we did the previious night in Traverse City. Boy were we in the wrong. The place looked nearly empty that evening and the front desk was unoccupied...

My friend and I stayed there for 4 nights and we had no problems! Hosts were friendly, offered information when asked, had a light continental breakfast but neither of us eat in the morning but I do drink my coffee and there was always plenty. One morning while out sitting at the pool early they came out to clean and...

We stopped here on the first leg of our trip around the coast of Michigan and we were pleasantly surprised with a nice motel. Bob made us feel welcome from the onset, and the rooms were old-style and clean, which was a nice break for us. We would recommend Bella Vista Inn and a stay at Bear Lake to any...

48 hour cancellation policy is not reasonable. Having not seen the property and then canceling the room on weekday cost one nights stay. Conflict with the front desk continued during a follow up phone call.

My husband and I stayed over a weekend. We were asked by the lady at the front desk to turn off the AC when we left the room. It was a cool, rainy weekend, so that was not a big deal. She also let us know the pool was being repaired and apologized for this. The furniture was old and...

  • View from room window...across from gas station.
  • Clean room, sturdy furnishings. Television was pretty big for such a small place.
